    Bengals Forecast

Tuesday, April 15, 2008, 05:51 PM EST [General]

Is anyone else getting a sinking feeling in their stomach about the Bengals upcoming season?  With questions at WR, RB, O-line, D-line, and LB,  I can see where the NFL was coming from when they gave us 1 prime time game and all 1 p.m. sunday starts at home.  The schedule starts hard, ends hard, and doesn't have any gimmee games in the middle. Add on to all that: Ocho's whining, Chris Henrys all too predicatable goodbye, David Pollacks propable retirement, and the still pending decision on Thurman, and i think it would be fare to say the forecast is cloudy with a chance of despair.  It amazes me how quickly the excitement and attitude of 2005 has dissipated.                                  But hey, i'm a pretty pessimistic guy, maybe it's not that bad.  Maybe Rudi bounces back and the O-line stays healthy.  Maybe we get a steal in the draft, and he changes the face of our defense, who knows.  Maybe Chad will even shut up and play...nah probably not. If the Bengals surprise me (and apparently the NFL) by having a great season, I'll be the happiest guy around, but I just don't see it happening.
