    The Wire Season 5

I dont see how but they did it again.  It was a fitting end to the best show ever. I must admit after the last episode, I just kinda stared at the credits as the ride-cymbal and rim clicks played. Its weird finishing something you dig so much. Its a bittersweet satisfaction.

Just as youd suspect some characters die and some live. Some go to jail and some are set free. To everything there is a season....everything ends up in its place. The greatest thing ever is that they leave no loose ends. Unlike other more popular HBO series, you arent left wondering. And in a way thats the point of the show and why I like it so much. The story is the star. Everything that happens is relevent to the story.

It is the most touching season by far. And the most shocking. I mean there are some real powerful moments that take episodes to set up. And there are also some moments that you cant believe it just happened. (you will know what im talking about the second you see it)

There is a kinda shaky part of the story involving McNulty (or McNutty as Bubbles calls him). Its just a little far fetched but still works well. I guess its not anymore of a stretch than the Legalization of drugs thing.

Let me know what you think. Didnt want to say to much, just incase you didnt shut your life down like I did this weekend to watch it. Im still behind on work.......

I'm envious. A lot of the big surprises were spoiled for me by checking out Youtube. When a very prominent character was shot in killed in Season 3 I went to Youtube to rewatch the scene over again and I glanced to the right and saw the related videos with spoiler headlines.

    Update:

Just went and checked my queue and disc 1 of season 5 just became available. I had to upgrade my plan so it would be sent today but oh well.

I'm glad to hear that they didn't leave any loose ends. I hate when they do that. In my opinion, the series finale of Six Feet Under should be the model for which all series finales are patterened after. Absolutely no loose ends........everyone died.

season 5 was my least-favorite season, but still good. the newspaper stuff was pretty spot-on.

i think my expectations were too high.

loved the bonus features as well
