    More Playoff picks/Thoughts

Wednesday, January 7, 2009, 02:38 PM EST [General]

Went 2-2 last week. I was shocked like the rest of America, by the Chargers coming out strong. Man that was a great game.  Also surprised by Atlanta getting beat. I thought they had what it takes to go deep.

Picks for this weeks Divisional round:

    NFC

Philly at My New York Giants

This game could go in any direction as far as tempo. Should be a great matchup all around. Got to go with the Giants clutching up though. They are the best team in the NFL.

    Giants-27 Eagles-24

    Arizona at Carolina

This should be the most lop-sided game scoring this weekend. I think Carolina is the toughest team in the NFL. They are freaking nails. Arizona wont be able to man-handle the Panthers like they Hotlanta.

    Panthers-35 Cardinals-14

    AFC

    B'more at Tenn

This is going to be an amazing game. It may take both teams the whole game to score any points, but you never know. I cant wait to see which team has more defensive and special teams td's. Got to go with the Titans at home.

    Titans-17 Ravens-10

    SD at Pitt

There is nothing I would love more than to see the Chargers smear Gentle Ben into that poor excuse for a playing surface they have up there. Dont think its going to happen though. The Bolts will give em hell, but the Steelers will win.

    Steelers-24 Chargers-17

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I think its really funny that the Buckeyes lost the other night. I heard Paul Mason call OSU fans "the most insecure fans in college football". That is hilarious to me. Im not a big college football guy, but for some reason I cant stand Ohio State.

Im looking forward to the National Championship thursday. I love watching Florida play. Didnt see much of the Sooners this year at all. Since Im not really a fan of either team Im just looking to see a good game. Not going to try to predict that one.

Any thoughts? Hook me up with some comments.

    NFL Playoff Picks

Tuesday, December 30, 2008, 09:14 PM EST [General]

There are four games this weekend and Im predicting four road wins. Normally I dont do picks, but the playoffs are something special. Let me know if you agree/disagree or dont care and why.

Baltimore Ravens over the Miami Dolphins 20-10

The Ravens defense is the most experienced group in football. The Wildcat wont fool Ray-Ray.

Atlanta Falcons over Arizona Cardinals 27-20

Dont the Cards remind you of the 05 Bengals? Think about it.....

Indianapolis Colts over San Diego Chargers 28-14

As much as I would like to see the Bolts beat the Colts, Peyton Manning is the biggest X-factor in the NFL.

    Eagles over Vikings 24-13

Philly has hit stride just in time to make a run in the playoffs. Minnesota cant win with one guy (Peterson) on offense.

All road winners. Well just have to see what happens........

    The art of the comeback

Sunday, December 21, 2008, 11:51 PM EST [General]

It's still not too late to hop aboard the Giants bandwagon. Plenty of room for disgruntled Bengals fans.

Tonight, the Giants had to comeback to tie, and then finished it off in OT. What a game! 300 yards rushing. Ward had 215 yards on 15 carries and Brandon Jacobs had 3 scores.

A sigh of relief is escaping my body. I was getting really worried that the distractions had sarted to rot this team from the inside out.

Winning in a dramatic way solves all problems. Especially against a great team like Carolina. Im a big Steve Smith (#89) guy. He is 5 foot 10, and plays like the biggest fastest dude on the field.

The Giants will pick up steam just in time to make a Super Bowl run. Go G-men!

Lotd News! Case cracked! Rashied found!

Thursday, December 18, 2008, 11:20 AM EST [General]

The recent disappearence of thelotd blogger Rashied in Brooklyn has raised many questions in thelotd community. He hasnt blogged for a month and hasnt responded to comments.

This remained a mystery until just recently, when clues led investigators to the home of one blogger named theblackhouse.

Investigators alledge that Mr. theblackhouse has kidnapped Rashied and is holding him hostage in his mother's basement where he lives. His motive is anger over Rashied's political beliefs. Alledgedly, Rashied did not vote for Obama. When theblackhouse discovered this, he went into a rage which led to the kidnapping and now attempted reprogramming of Rashied.

When reached for comment about his political prisoner theblackhouse had this to say, "Im black"

Dean Travers, another lotd blogger had this to say about theblackhouse, "Im pretty sure he's black"

Needless to say, thelotd misses Rashied and wishes him to be rescued. Maybe by Chris in Cambridge or Russ in Columbus.

    Have you seen this man?
