I like Brandon Phillips where he is. I really hope the Reds leave him the hell alone, and let him do his thing at second. This is purley for my entertainment only. I base my oppinion on no facts or observations. Just that Im worried if they switch him over, he may not be as spectacular. Plus hes a young guy and a big part of the future. They should do what it takes to keep him at second.(wait...would that just make another Griffey out of him?)
Also, last night the Suns put a beat down on the crappy Indiana Pacers. Thats nothing out of the ordinary, but something else was. Amari Stoudemire came up HUGE. 51 points 11 rebounds and 6 assists! Ive seen him put up alot of points before, but damn 51? I hope he does that every game.
Someone has to give props where props are do. I hate to say it, but they won because a number of things the main one being, the play calling. I am filled with sefl-loathing right now writing this, but Brat called a good game. Also, to his credit, they changed the packages. I saw a ton of spread formations, some with 5 wide. Chris Perry was getting out there, I was thinking screens for him an Utech, but they just ran patterns.
This approach plays to the teams strengths, namely two pro-bowl recievers and a recieving tight end.
It worked well. And when no one was open, Fitzpatrick picked up a few first downs on the ground. The reason they didnt score continuing into the second half, was they played Martyball. Just ran it and ran it. They only passed it like ten times in the second half, some of that due to turnovers. Well heres to you Bob Bratkowski. Keep spreading those recievers out. Its the only way to get matchups that Fitzpatrick will recognize easily. Whodey?!
The Giants win again, sending the crappy Cowboys dow to the basement in the NFC east. A few things:
Brandon Jacobs is so fun to watch. He doesnt even have to get low to rumble through tackles. When he does get low, he lookes like a torpedo in water. Its crazy. Blow me Tiki!
When the Giants are in a 3rd and long situation, we all know who they are going to. Steve Smith. Every time. How is he able to get open? Im not sure how many times Ive seen teams try to cover him with a line backer or a safety from over the top. It doesnt work.
Justin Tuck recorded 2.5 sacks. He is the best. Strahan who? Osi who? And Mathius Kiwanuka is coming on now. He has worked his way back to DE from OLB in a big way.
Kevin Boss is coming up huge. He blocks well and runs a little after the catch. What was that other Giant tight end's name? Butthole?

Here is yet another great post on www.nationalfootballpost.com. One again, if you aren't hip to this site, you will be after this read. It's a Michael Lombardi post on the drafting strategies of the New York Giants over the years. As usual, its specific and in depth. Enjoy.

Dexter Jackson to the IR? Crap. They guy was going to be a huge cog in the 0-16 wheel. This is terrible. Now they will play young, hungry DBs, who will be actually trying to win. This is very bad. At least Corey Lynch is on IR with him. He would have stepped up and probably had a starting job before the year was out. Doesnt DJ look like a dude who could lead his defense and team to 0-16?
Here's the story:
Bengals place Jackson on IR, sign Crocker
Cincinnati, OH (Sports Network) - The Cincinnati Bengals placed safety Dexter Jackson on injured reserve with a hamstring injury, ending his season, and signed safety Chris Crocker.
Jackson, a 10-year veteran, played in three games this season and recorded 21 tackles, missing five game due to a thumb injury. He suffered the hamstring injury in practice on Wednesday.
Crocker, a six-year veteran, began the season with Miami and played in the first six games, posting nine tackles. He was released by the Dolphins on October 21.
Hey at least they got another "scrapheap" type guy. Lets just hope he doesnt know what hes doing somehow.
Next item is the new NBA season. I am stoked. If you don't know, I follow the Pheonix Suns. I just got into watching NBA games a few years ago. I watched when I was a kid because of #23. Dude was electrifying. So jsut getting ito it a few years ago, I liked watching the Suns play. Steve Nash + a few scorers=entertainment. Now that Shaq-fu is there, thats just icing. So they beat the Spurs, their bitter rival, last night. Very cool. And we still got 80 games to go!
Tim Duncan is a pansy!
I hope UC wins tonight.
Go Giants! Look for another Big Blue win on sunday. They play the confused Dallas Cowboys with no Tony Romo. Brad Johnson aka the sloth, is at QB for Dallas. So look for about 7 or 8 sacks from the Giants d-line.
