    Jokes from the road........

Saturday, November 15, 2008, 09:25 AM EST [General]

Do yourself a favor, and have a quick laugh with me. I have to drive all over southern Ohio for my job. Occasionally, I come across something funny. Ive passed this sign a hundred times and finally took some pictures. Here is the sign, read the slogan carefully.

Now here is the wide shot of the sign in context:

That sign has been there for over two years that I know of. Not much planting going on. In fact across the street is a graveyard. Not just any graveyard, one of those civil war graveyards.

Well, this will give Leandro Barbosa more pt. He can be a really strong scorer when given the chance.

    In unrelated news. Go Bearcats!

    Remember Gregg Doyel?

Friday, November 14, 2008, 01:54 PM EST [General]

He's still been writing away on www.cbssportsline.com . I wonder if he is still letting MMAers choke him out, just to see what it's like. I though he and Mo were a good team, but I guess someone much more important than me did not.

Anyway, he has a new post. Its a lengthy a$$-ramming of Colts WR Marvin Harrison. I know, Marvin Harrison?

    http://www.sportsline.com/columns/story/11098276/rss

I got to go with Doyel on this one.  I used to think his quiet Dungy-esque attitude was great. But every time they show him on the bench sitting by himself it makes me wonder why? Do you work with anyone like that? I have before, and that guy sucks to work with. Now that his production is dropping, it doesnt really matter in Indy. They will never get rid of him, unless he and his gun blow a few more holes in downtown Indianapolis. I guess he will always be a good decoy for Reggie Wayne...

The final line sums it up very, very well:

"I liked him better when I didn't know him at all."

A Flying Ape,A Bloody Nose, and One Hot Chic

Thursday, November 13, 2008, 03:55 PM EST [General]

The Suns lost to the Rockets last night late. Shaq-fu moves to 10th in all-time scoring, and Steve Nash gets right in the middle of a fight.

So maybe the Suns don't play defense, and maybe they will just get bumped off in the playoffs again. But my team ain't afraid to scrap now. Is Steve Nash the toughest canadian ever, or does he know that when he gets in the middle it fires his team up? I just know it's awesome. Remember the shot he took a few years back? Got right back in and played.

    Cheap shot Rob.

The Pheonix mascot is crazy. If that suit catches, it's going to be seared monkey flesh fro Shaq-fu's dinner.

In other news, the Lakers are still undefeated. They are good. Here is a hot chic just for good measure.

      Goooooo Suuuuuuuuns!
