I don't think it was any of those. I think the draft was a complete disaster.

1) We should have traded Chad and got Washington's 1st round pick.

2) We should have traded up for Sedrick Ellis. All it would have cost was a third round pick and we had 2 third round picks.

3) Jerome Simpson was too much of a reach. We could have got him in the 3rd, 4th or maybe even 5th round.

4) Jason Shirley has major character issues. That was just a stupid pick.

The Bengals draft this season is just another example of how this team will continue to settle for mediocrity.

It's like the front office people are lazy. They dont take overpayment for Chad, they dont trade up for Ellis they dropped the ball on the Shaun Rogers deal and let him go to a division rival.

Honestly the Bengals are a joke.

But what is even more sad is that I still love them...
