Why do I find myself rooting for the Dodgers ? Manny Ramirez antics in Boston pointed out all the things that disgust about the professional athlete. But now I am rooting for him to hit.

Probably because of Joe Torre and the fact that the Yankees let him go. Sports are great like that. You can rank how much you like or dislike a team and from that come up with a team to root for.   Example: I can't  stand the Steelers, #1 unliked team in the NFL followed closely by the Cowboys. If the Cowboys play the Steelers, than no doubt that I am rooting for the Cowboys that week...........

Every spring I send a fifty out to Vegas to bet on the Reds to win the World Series. By mid June, with the Reds out of contention, down a fifty, and hope that my Bengals seats will actually get used in the post season. By the end of October, I usually fall back to old faithful, horse racing - year round hopes of aspirations of catching a big ticket, which a few times a year, I get to head to the IRS window with photo I.D. in hand.
