Easily has to be one of the most pain in a$$ things to deal with.  Nothing like getting a flat tire during rush hour in the rain/snow this morning.  I think my wedding tackle is still frozen.  You know what makes it worse?  The wonderful item that was stuck in the tire was a bolt.  That's right, a bolt.  Not a sharp point anywhere to be found.  Not a nail, screw, etc.....a fricking bolt and it still had a washer on it.  Amazing, simply amazing.

So, not only did I have to change the tire while getting frost bite on my fingers, I look like an a$$ clown driving around with that little donut f'ing tire.  Now I can only go maximum 45 mph the whole way to work and home from work on the interstate.  I might as well just find me a horse and ride it home.  Don't they go faster than that? 

Also, I have to find time to take it to a service station to get the flat tire fixed.  Imagine that....none of them in my neck of the woods open early enough or are open late enough for me get it fixed before work or after work.  So, now I have to listen to coworkers ask "why were you late this morning?", "everything ok?".  You would think since we can put a man on the moon we could have tire technology for EVERY tire where they won't go flat.  Sorry, I'm not a rich bastard and I can't afford run-flats.  Next time I get a flat tire I just might ghost ride the damn car into a ditch and try to collect from the insurance company.  Of course, if I do that, my insurance goes up!  Damn.

Honestly, I'm not a UC fan.  I pretty much hate the basketball team, but that's only because I'm a UK basketball fan that most love to hate.  However, I was pulling for UC last night.  I don't have much of a college football allegiance to any team in particular only because college football in my house wasn't a priority like UK basketball was growing up.  I am a UK football fan because I graduated from there.  I wanted UC to win last night.  I played some football, but I am far from an expert and I don't want Brian Kelly's job.  Why not run the ball on your first and goal attempts to set up play action on 2nd or 3rd down (if you're in 4 down territory and have to score like UC needed to do last night when Pike got stuffed)?

Va Tech knew UC was going to pass everytime in the red zone.  I know UC's running game was non-existent all night, but wouldn't running the ball on first down at least keep Va Tech on their toes and maybe get a few players to bite on play action and possibly free up a tight end or something?  I'm just thinking/questioning out loud.  Last night might be a tough loss for UC fans, but hey, at least you were there.  The nation knows who you are now and Brian Kelly really has things going in the right direction.  I'm a UK fan but they won't do much of anything because playing in the SEC kills them.  Sorry, had to get one dig in there against the Big East.  Congratulations to UC on a stellar season.  The seniors should be proud of themselves.  One loss does not a season make.

Good Lord I hate them.  If that "Chaser" stuff works, I will be their #1 stockholder.  There isn't anything much worse than partying like a rock star the night before and then you wake up with a sledgehammer cracking your skull the next morning.  Sometimes, mine are so bad I just wish I would die.  They are even more enjoyable when you have a 2 year old that gets up every morning at 7:00 am and doesn't give two s**ts that you polished off a 12 pack the night before.

I even try to take Tylenol or Advil before I go to bed to try and reduce the hangover effect the next morning.  Most times it works, but I think I'm flirting with an aneurysm or something if I drink and take too much of that stuff.  Knowing my luck, that's the way I'll exit this world.

So, if anyone has any home remedies let me know.  Until then, I still plan on drinking.  Like an idiot, I keep sippin on the sauce.  Oh well.  I'll enjoy my New Year's party tonight but I'll hate life when I wake up tomorrow morning.  I guess I'll go strong tonight and drink Grey Goose w/ Red Bull.  Yep, go strong or don't go at all.   Happy New Year and happy f**king hangover.  Now, where the F is the Tylenol?

PS.  I don't have a drinking problem for all of those who are concerned....lol.  I'm referencing drinking on the weekend and celebratory occasions.

The whole reason I got on here was to post comments on the 1530 Homer radio hosts' blogs (on the right hand side), but now that it's been taken away, it's just not as fun.  It was entertaining to banter back and forth between UK, UC, XU, sports in general, etc., but, as usual, a few had to ruin it for all of us.

So, fellow Lotdians (?, whatever), what can we do?  If I were a betting man, I'd say the traffic to the 1530 Homer guys' websites has to be down as a result of this.  Therefore, adverstising isn't as up to par and advertisers are less likely to put their ads on there.  I say let the comments section back up and ban those that abuse it.  A zero tolerance policy if you will.  If they keep creating multiple screen names and spout off, keep banning them.  Eventually, they will get sick of having to create new profiles every couple of days and won't bother.  The next question would be, where do you draw the line?  What is crossing the line in order to get banned?  Most common sense moderators should be able to tell what is playful banter and what is demeaning, racial, threatening, etc.  Heck, give Nick Brunker something else to do....lol.
