Top 5 Reasons There Will Be No Rematch Against Mo

Friday, April 4, 2008, 10:17 PM EST [General]

I'm stepping away from the "Brittney vs. Joe Sch-Mo" basketball rematch for 5 main reasons.

    1. I have a day job.
    2. Is it my fault Mo "suddenly forgot" how to play a pick-up game? A pick-up game is different from a regular basketball game in the fact that you call your own fouls, play by ones and twos, and you win by two. Not hard rules to follow! In open gyms in college we would play the win by two rule. I even know of a Sunday night men's league that plays the win by two rule. Maybe if Mo played basketball above a 10th grade level, he wouldn't have forgot.
    3. We played both games with a men's basketball. Playing with a men's and women's basketball was the rule we established. Do you hear me complaining it was unfair?
    4. Not agreeing to a rematch has nothing to do with me doubting my ability to beat Mo. There is no doubt in my mind (or anyone else who was present at the game) that I beat Mo fair and square and would again. I don't need a rematch to know or prove that. If I agree to play again, it would take on the perception that I did something wrong when in actuality it is Mo that is wrong.
    5. He refuses to admit loss because I really beat him and he is ashamed. He will not stop his outlandish lies and antics until he beats me (which will never happen). Therefore, the drama would continue...

I had a lot of fun with this but it could have been more fun and fair if Mo would have brought himself to admit that he was/is lying to save face. Do the right thing Mo.

Hey, I like your blog, you should update it more often :)
You probably don't remember me, but we met briefly when I was shadowing Nick Brunker at the station. Just wanted to say hey, thanks.

Look at you all addin' photos and stuff like a pro. I wish they made a DIII Women's Basketball game for Xbox 360 or something, then you could rematch in that. I'm sure it'd sell like hotcakes too.
