From the Fresno Bee, a bench warrant has been issued for Bengals defensive tackle Jason Shirley, stemming from a drunk driving charge that was known before he was drafted by the Bengals.

According to the article, the bench warrant will not take effect until Tuesday.

Bengals spokesman Jack Brennan said the team "does not comment on legal proceedings until they are resolved."

The original charge is from before he was drafted, and was an issue the team was well aware of when they drafted him out of Fresno State.

Shirley has yet to play in a game for the Bengals.
