Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said he'd know more about the status of injured running back Willie Parker following practice today:
"We’ll know more after we work today, he was able to come out and get some work on Monday," Tomlin said in a conference call with the Cincinnati media. "We’re encouraged by where he is, but I think it’s a little too early to tell for his availability for Sunday at this point. We’ll know in a couple of hours, or at least have a frame of reference."
Parker missed two games with a knee injury.
I also asked Tomlin about the status of former UC and Hughes High School player Andre Frazier, who was taken off on a cart following the opening kickoff against the Ravens on Sept. 29. Frazier was hit by his former Bearcat teammate, Haruki Nakamura on the play. He didn't play on Oct. 5 because of the injury.
"I think he's fine," Tomlin said of Frazier. "He potentially may have been available for the last game, but coming off a short week and under the circumstances he was under, we thought it would be prudent not to play him last week. We chose to to do that, but he's been his normal self. He appears to be fine and we plan to go full-steam ahead this week."
Also, Tomlin was asked about playing at Heinz Field Southwest this weekend and the support his team gets on the road: "It's not something that gets old. You really appreciate it," Tomlin said. "Our fan support is unbelievable. I continue to be amazed to this day when we go on the road and the kind of support we get from our fans away from home."

"Why don't you come over later, (Cincinnati), so I can show you what a reeeeeeeaaaaaaal (NFL coach) is like."
