About Me: Listen live every weekday morning from 6 to 9. As a child, Alan Cutler wasn’t good enough to play the game, so instead of following in the footsteps of his hero, Tracy Jones, he decided at the age of 5 that he wanted to be a sportscaster. In high school, on Long Island, Cutler grew up playing basketball with Billy Crystal. One of them was actually funny. After graduating college, Cutler found a radio station in Farmington, New Mexico that was desperate for someone to do play-by-play. Cutman's first gig, making a big league salary of $100 a week, was doing little league baseball on an FM Rock station. Living over Snookers’ Pool Hall, Cutler experienced the beauty of Southwest. Ten years later, Cutler was the only colorman on any major league telecast who didn’t play the game. After getting fired for breaking a major story on the Pirates TV Network, Cutler continued his job as a TV Anchor and Reporter. Cutler is about to begin his 8th year as Host of the Cincinnati Bengals Radio Network. He also does sports talk on 700WLW on weekends, and is one of the hosts of the Cincinnati Reds Radio Network. The Cutman is also the Sports Director and a reporter for the No. 1 TV Station in Lexington, Ky., WLEX-TV, and is the Co-Host of the Lex 18 High School Sportszone, the award winning Friday night program that Cutler started over 20 years ago.

    Brown Wants More $$$$$$$$ ??

Sportstalk on Saturday after UC won on WLW was FUN !

But, this morning, even a big supporter of Marvin is ripping the Bengals

Beneath the rubbish known as the Cincinnati Bengals and buried underneath a 31-point victory yesterday at Paul Brown Stadium was the continued improvement of the Ravens' offense.

Check this out.  I believe Mikey Boy is saying that compared to some of the other NFL owners, he isn't making enough $$$$$$$$.

Profit is not a bad thing. It's a good thing," he said. "It's good for the fans to have a healthy business. I should point out that we have been down here at Paul Brown Stadium for, what, this is our ninth year. Over that whole time, we have not paid out any of our profit to shareholders beyond what is necessary to pay taxes. Every penny of the rest has been put back into the team.

Terrific stuff on LeBeau.  The picture is wonderful !

Dick LeBeau -- Might be the most beloved coach in all of football

Caller after the Ravens game believes it's now worse than when Shula was coaching the Bengals.  WOW !

Browns fans have to be excited about Ken Dorsey PLAYING QB this week.  Funny how Romeo's job is on the line.  You don't hear a word about Marvin.

ET came strong to the mic this morning.  He says the number one problem with the BENGALS are all the distractions.  He puts Chad and Chris Henry as number one and that they have to go.

As far as the Bengals offensive line, the former Bengal All-Pro Corner said, "the interior line is soft."   He adds, "this team can't block anyone."

So they needed the BCS to break the logjam in the BIG 12.  My guy Mike Leach had a perfect line.  Use the graduation rate of all three schools be the tiebreaker.  He says Texas Tech would win !

Did you see Huggs over the weekend ?  WOW is he big.  Please, go on a diet. Heart problem and he looked as big as I can remember.

Kentucky's point guard play is so bad, it's ridiculous.

With the Bengals losintg 10 games for 39% of the time since they became a franchise, are they the worst professional sports team in the history of American sports ?

    KELLY ??

Wednesday, November 26, 2008, 02:46 PM EST [General]

A TV Station in Tenn. tells me that the University is expected to put out a statement denying the story that Kiffin has been hired.

The same station says that their sources tell them that Brian Kelly and Mike Leach are the top two candidates to become the next coach at Tennessee.

There is a radio report that Leach has been interviewed.

Kelly told us earlier this week that he wasn't going to talk to Tennessee right now.  That any school was going to have to wait, and if they didn't want to wait, that's ok too.

    Krivsky !

Wednesday, November 26, 2008, 01:22 PM EST [General]

First of all....I want to wish everyone a great turkey time.  And, yes, that includes all of you who don't agree or at times scream at the radio.

Take a minute to say thank you to a friend or loved one.  And we all need to be thankful for what we have.

VERY happy for Krivsky.  I like him a lot.  He's back.  This is from the Baltimore Sun.

The Orioles today named former Cincinnati Reds front office executive Wayne Krivsky as special assistant to Andy MacPhail, president of baseball operations. Krivsky has more than 30 years of experience in baseball operations and will be involved in all aspects of the Orioles' major league operations, including scouting, contracts and other baseball administration responsibilities.

Krivsky most recently served as special assistant to New York Mets general manager Omar Minaya during the 2008 season. Prior to that, he spent more than two years as executive vice president and general manager of the Cincinnati Reds.

His three decades of experience include nearly 27 seasons as an assistant or special assistant to general managers in the Texas Rangers, Minnesota Twins and Mets organizations, with scouting and player evaluation experience at all levels of development.

The 54-year-old Krivsky was born in Niagara Falls, N.Y., and is a 1972 graduate of New Canaan (Conn.) High School. He attended Duke University, where he played baseball for three seasons and earned a degree in management science in 1976

no t.d. that is not what that means

that means that if the sugar bowl takes the bearcats or pitt then the orange bowl gets the non bcs undefeated school. but if the sugar bowl takes the non bcs undefeated school then the orange bowl will take the big east champ

THE BIG EAST IS LOCKED TO A BCS SPOT NO MATTER WHAT!!!!!

Cutman, what the HELL is going on here? This was put out AFTER last night's uc win, by the BCS as to how poll brakedowns will fall, assuming all these team win out (of course) Comment: The ACC champion is locked to the Orange Bowl and we project Boston College will claim that honor. In the ever changing ACC, the Eagles need to win their last game -- vs. Maryland -- and then beat either Georgia Tech or Virginia Tech in the conference title game. The Orange Bowl gets the last pick in the BCS bowl selection process and will end up with either UTAH or Boise St. as one of the undefeated non-BCS squads, the other non- BCS school undefeated will play the Alabama or Florida loser in the Sugar Bowl, the Big East champion, would get the best non BCS bowl still available.

    WHAT!

Hey Alan, how bout those Bearcats! I do not remember your exact words three and a half weeks ago, but you said to the effect UC can't/won't beat WVU, Lou, & Pitt. Well they did, and I'd like to hear your thoughts.

GUYS, GUYS, I'm as pissed about this as much as the uc fans should be, was just listing to a local pitt sports talk show and the question came up about the big east champion and the BCS bids, what I have been saying is 100% CORRECT! How can this be? if you go read the bilaws of the BCS selection choices they are as follows, the LAST BCS game has an ATOMATIC bid to the ACC CONF. CHECK the other bid will go out to the BIG East winner, UNLESS there is an undefeated NON BCS school, and the big east winner ISN'T undefeated, and or RANKED in front of the NON BCS SCHOLL, the big east fall short in both catagories! TOTAL CRAP!

THIS SUCKS for BOTH PITT and the uc winner, this from CBS sportsline:

Comment: The ACC champion is locked to the Orange Bowl and we project Virginia Tech will claim that honor. In the ever changing ACC, the Hokies will win their last two games -- vs. Duke and Virginia -- and will hold the tiebreaker over Georgia Tech and North Carolina to win the Coastal Division and set up a possible rematch with Maryland. The Orange Bowl gets the last pick in the BCS bowl selection process and will end up with either an undefeated non BCS squad or the Big East champion.

This means either UTAH, BOISE ST. and or BALL St. WILL ALL go before the big east Champ because of there overall record, what a bunch of CRAP!
