Please, call your MOM, and Junior

Sunday, May 11, 2008, 01:58 PM EST [General]

I hope everyone calls their Mom, if they aren't close enough to see her. From one of the best columnists going, and no he's not a sports guy.

those services would not be needed this year. My mother, Margaret Friedman, died last month at the age of 89

    Different take on JUNIOR.

Ken Griffey Jr. will hit his 600th major league home run. It will have been a long time in coming.

Kepp got 5 hits in the second game last night.  Sounds like a NY writer for the POST appreciates his skills.

"Ex-Met Jeff Keppinger, who was traded for Ruben Gotay and was never really given a chance by the Mets, collected a career-high five hits in the second game, raising his average to .317. That was one more hit than the entire Mets team. But who's counting.

Keppinger is a grinder. At this point, the Mets don't appear to have a lot of grinders.

They have talent, but their players have shown themselves to be soft."

The Post is calling the METS soft.

REDS can win a series. But, down 3--0 in the fourth, it's not looking good.

Cueto got rocked in the first.

First inning, Freel and Junior didn't communicate and it cost the REDS a triple.  Little things that shouldn't happen.
