Please give Aaron some support. The poor guy has to be going crazy. And, when you look at the numbers, if you have a heart, you feel worse.
Harang is 1--5 with a 3.09 ERA. The ERA has him 15th in the NL. What is amazing is the 14 pitchers ahead of him had a combined record of 65-17 thru Saturday.
For some reason, Harang doesn't pitch well against the FISH.
Every now and then, when you talk about moving Junior and Dunn someone will call or write about how in the world are the REDS GOING TO SCORE ANY RUNS if they leave.
The FISH dumped Miguel Cabrera and Dontrelle Willis to save money. They are in first place. Ahead of the expensive Mets and Phillies. Not that the Braves are chopped liver.
The Fish have won 7 straight. Uggla, their second baseman is from Louisville. A couple of years ago, he was looking for a team. He's got a lot of pop for a second baseman.
Junior has now gone over 60 at bats without going deep.
Do you think he knew that Seattle was sending someone to the METS series to check him out ?
Seattle wants him. But, remember their record is worse than the REDS, who have won only 39% of their games. 39% !!!
Are you worried about the confidence for one Johnny Cueto ? It's a subject I've brought up before. It has not been pleasant in 3 out of his last 4 starts. His ERA is close to 6 runs per game. What's wrong with putting him in the bullpen and have him miss a couple of starts if this continues.
Homer Bailey might be coming off a bad start, but his numbers are still good enough in Louisville to think about calling him up.
Justin Lehr is doing much better down there. Justin who ? An all star triple 'a' pitcher last year who the REDS signed in the off-season, Lehr is giving up only 2.53 per game. He doesn't throw hard. He's been around the block. The whole world as always is looking for pitching, and no one will give him a chance. I have no idea if he can do it. There have been plenty of Triple A pitchers who couldn't do it. But, how he never gets a chance is amazing to me. Remember the REDS have won only 39% of their games.
Interesting take between Hobson of the Bengals and Brat the offensive coordinator.
"GH: Despite the changes, I would think you should be able to move the ball.
BB: We should, but the dynamics might change. We may not be as dynamic without Chad, Chris Henry, Tab Perry. We're different. We may not be scoring as many points. We may be hoping to control the ball more. We may not have the big-play explosiveness, but we can still work to create it "
Please read this the right way. Brat isn't saying the Chad isn't coming back. Brat is being smart. You have to prepare both ways. It's exactly what you would expect him to say. And, it's nice to see the open comment by Brat.
This stuff drives me nuts. Why fans go out of their way to go after players like Hamilton, I will never understand. NEVER. A must read by Pearlman, who is a terrific writer. Josh still leads the MAJORS in RBI's. Maybe we should just say the trade was a home run for both teams.

Ming Wang for the Yankees has a similar ERA to Harang but is probably around 5-1 right now though. I hope they can pull it together for Harang.
