MONDAY MORNING we're going to have a terrific national writer who covers the NFL. His thoughts on the BENGALS and how we really have NO IDEA who the athletes we cover, follow, root for and cheer for......WE HAVE NO IDEA WHO THEY REALLY ARE.
To the REDS beating Cleveland last night. Fun to watch. But, even bad teams have little runs, let's see if this streak turns the season around. Enjoy it, but it's way too early to tell.
Feel bad for Jensen. Fine young relief pitcher. But., on his birthday, the local product walks in the winning run.
Anyone notice Tampa Bay's young pitching ?
Cueto was just fine. Don't care about the home runs. Solid start with a real crowd.
Here is who will get overlooked. Jeremy Affelt. The lefty who at times I think needs to be used more gets out of the bases loaded mess.
When Stormy is on, you gotta love how he gets strikes on the inside pitch. Gutsy pitch. Perfectly placed. You would think young guys like Burton who has a much better arm would try and duplicate it. LOCATION LOCATION LOCATION !
Don't look now but Dunn isn't that far away from being on pace for 40 home runs.
What's cool is hearing him talk about how much fun the game was last night.
Hats off to you all. You who showed made the atmosphere.
Got a half dozen e mails this week telling me I'm wrong about my feelings forever that REDS fans are just as good as those who live where they make beer. If the REDS win like St. Louis, you guys will create the same kind of atmosphere.
Did you see Wagner blow up in the METS locker ? Would you like to see the same kind of thing in the BENGALS locker ? You think there is some air to clean out of the BENGALS locker ?
ET, Eric Thomas wishes Carson was more vocal. Not that vocal, but how about and coming and saying, Chad either be here or sit out.
Hey, how about some positive news on the BENGALS. This goes just fine with your morning coffee.
Josh is off to one of the best starts you could dream of when it comes to driving in runs.
49 RBI's in 42 games. He's on pace for 38 home runs and 188 RBI's. If that happens, and I can't imagine, it would be one of the greatest seasons in the HISTORY of our national pasttime.

Alan, will you approve this comment please?
JoeI'm hoping for big things from Utecht actually, been awhile since we had a real pass catching threat at that position.
As for the Reds, I do care about Cueto's HR's. It worries me that he is still struggling with his location at times. And while I expect this from a rook, GABP is not a great park to pitch in with that type of weakness..
