This is not ripping Junior. I know how sensative some of you can be. And, I'm smiling.
The last time Junior said that he wanted to stay in Cincy and win here, I said that he had to say that, and that I thought he wanted to go to a contender.
If Junior tells the truth, the next time he steps in at the plate in Cincy, he gets boooooooooed big time.
Now that he is traded, he can be more honest.
Griffey laughed and said, "Hey, I love it. Now this is my kind of team."
To Bronson. Before I started the show on HOMER, many times on weekends on WLW, when the bullpen was really bad, I would say that the starters don't trust the bullpen, they can't say it, and often times they will either pace themselves or know they have to go deeper in a game because they don't want the wrong guys on the mound.
Good for Bronson. Now that the bullpen is better, he can tell the truth, when he couldn't say this when it was going on.
To the REDS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! PLEASE. A little common sense. If you tell me that Bako and Patterson are the future, I'm going to throw up.
Why NOT put Chris Dickerson in center,
break in Ryan Hanigan behind the plate,
and bring up Josh Roenike for your bullpen.
Kelch, who does the Louisville games says that Hanigan might be the best catcher he's seen since joing Triple A. That's huge.
Dickerson is an athlete who steals bases, can play defense, and is improving at the plate.
Roenike, I wanted up in the big show when they called Coffey up the last time.
I have no idea if all three will make it.
I do know if you look at Jay Bruce, he is so much more relaxed now that he is getting used to being a big league player.
You might have '3' young players who help you next year.
You might have none. I doubt it's none.
What do you have to lose ?
