    Rock Bottom

Is it really Rock Bottom ?  It doesn't even count, but that's how it seems like 90% of Bengals fans feel.

Who thinks there is hope ?

Perhaps Rock Bottom is a good thing.  If you lose 24-17, you often don't realize all of the problems.  After the way the Bengals played against the Saints, you would think that every player looked in the mirror and didn't like what they saw.

What bothered me the most was Ryan Fitspatrick talkintg about the lack of energy after the game.

2 1/2 years ago, Kentucky got destroyed by LSU a lot worse than the Saints game.  Everyone in Kentucky figured Rich Brooks was going to get fired. By appealing to the pride of the team, they turned it around and won a bowl game.

Starting on September 7th, we'll see how much PRIDE this Bengals team has.

To Carson.  The picture with the blood on his face from his broken nose is one that will stand the test of time.  That picture will be used a lot.

To Dusty.  I felt terrible for him after losing to Colorado.  He had nothing.  He is a good man who hasn't always made the right decision, but he doesn't have the right deck of cards to win.

If you are going to play Dickerson and he's doing a GREAT job, WHY not play Rosales ?

Why even consider pitching Cueto the rest of the year ?

Stats can fool you.  Look at Lincoln's numbers and all of a sudden he's not having nearly as good of a season.  He took one for the team yesterday.  Gutsy enough to take the ball when he had nothing and needed a day off.

The bullpen for the REDS has been terrific. But, they are slipping because they are used too often.  That's not their fault.  And, it's not Dusty's.

I believe that ROCK BOTTOM happened a few years back with the Bengals and the 11-5 year was a result of an EASY SCHEDULE that season.

If you don't score in football, you can loose 2-0. That would have been even worse than the 13-0 loss that they had the other night simply because that 2 points would have been scored AGAINST the offense making them -2 instead of at 0.

While the Bengals defense only gave up 13 points...their secondary was picked apart. That seems to be overshadowed by the fact that Carson broke his nose. (so much for wearing a face mask eh?)

Dusty Baker might be the greatest guy in the world- personally- he could be a great "BASEBALL GUY" just like Jerry Narron was. I'm just tired of hearing year in and year out the excuses that this team has made for themselves. They unloaded JR. and Dunn in order to improve themselves... let's hope that turns out to be the case.
