Mort on ESPN just said that the Bengals are calling around offering RUDI for an established wide out.

So, the Bengals either think they don't need RUDI, or they aren't convinced he can take the wear and tear of a season. 

What team is going to take on RUDI's salary when you have no idea how much tread is left on his tires.

Plus, you have to wonder about Chad's health.  There is a report that he has a torn labrum in his shoulder.

Chad keeps on saying that he will be fine for the opener.  Maybe we need to give him some credit for being tough if he starts playing with a bad shoulder.

Good point by Bengals PBP man Brad J. with Doc tonight.  Carson is talking less and less to the media.  Tired of the same old quesitons.  Carson is smart.  He gets that reporters are tired of asking the same questions.  But, you have to ask.

Eric Davis was terrific with Doc.  Guys come thru the REDS system and don't know how to bunt when they get to the big show.

Arizona makes you bunt in the minors.  Doesn't matter if you are a clean up guy or a lead off guy.  It's called player development.
