    Fire Marvin ?

Ralph Vacciano writes for the NY Daily News as the beat man covering the NY Giants.   Ralph says that he would fire Marvin.  And, he's "shocked" that Carson is playing so poorly.

Jeff, one of the many terrific callers in the morning, and it seems like we are getting more and more good callers which makes it even more fun to do the show, brings up a terrific point.

How would Big Ben be if he was playing for the Bengals.  Would the NFL experts still say that he is one of the top 5 QB's ?

And, if Carson were a Steeler, would he be considered right now one of the top 3 QB's ?

Let's chew on that in the morning.

ESPN's fantasy man says that Carson is his biggest disappointment this season.

This morning, I gave out a new award.  The first annual Cutman in the season comeback player of the year award.  I gave it to Bronson.  His comeback after that awful performance in Toronto is one of the best I've ever seen.

His confidence is great.  As we've mentioned before, Dick Pole really helped out changing the grip on his sinker.

Jason came up with a great candidate.  I forgot about this until he sent it.

    Cutman,

Caught a piece of your show this morning on Bronson's comeback over this year and you asked for other players who have done similar feats.  The only one that came to mind for me was Albert Belle when he played for the White Sox.  1998 was the year.  He started out hurt and terrible in the first half of the season, then finished on a second half tear that may never be matched again. I tried to find the first half/second half stats, but only found the full year.  God Bless the internet!!!   I found the splits:  Unbelievable!!!  He did it in 9 less games in the second half!!!
