    T.O. Crying !!!

Monday, October 6, 2008, 06:00 AM EST [General]

T.O. cried yesterday.  No kidding.  Literally.  And Chad's explanation is equally ridiculous. Chad says that NO ONE UNDERSTANDS what wide outs go thru...PLEASE.

T.O. is so messed up he needed Jerry Jones to pump him up during the game.

I'm trying to remember the last time Mike did that.

Romo has had turnovers in 8 straight games.  It's the longest current streak in the NFL.  He snapped at a reporter when asked about his mistakes sayins, we won the game.

Romo is taking some heat for his play, but he's 23-8 as a starter.  He's not Troy.  And he's not perfect.

But perhaps this morning we should talk about the word HOPE.  Is that back with the Bengals ?

    Post Bengals

Sunday, October 5, 2008, 08:04 PM EST [General]

Hats off to the offensive line.  Seriously !!  It's my old line, if you rip, you need to go out of your way to recognize a change.  Only at the end did Carson get sacked.

Carson admitted to Lap that he never let it rip.

This elbow problem will be around all year, so says the franchise.  Carson was on as Lap put it, on a pitch count.  55 passes max today, and 40 during practice.

Carson called the Bengals  ""when you are a bad team"".....and then finished the sentenced.

This might sound soft, but you have to respect the Bengals for not quitting when they were down 17--0 and looking as bad as bad can be.

I don't know what to do with Chris Perry except to put him on the bench as soon as Benson learns more of the offense.  There is NO EXCUSE for 5 fumbles this year.  Todays might have cost the Bengals the game.

TJ is tough !  Nothing new, but it never hurts to repeat the obvious on a "bad team."

Bottom line, at the end of the day Bengals lose and they are 0---5.

Why go to Utecht on the '2' point conversation since he still isn't healthy.

Chad had another bad day.  Are his best days behind him ?  It is becoming a legit question. Perhaps all he needs is one breakout game.   Chad seems like an expensive decoy.   3 catches for 43 yards doesn't cut it.

Marvin says the Bengals need to find a way to get some "explosive plays."

Maybe the big news of the day was off the field.  NFL.COM says that Marvin has been told he can coach the team for as long as he wants.

    Lovie And Marvin

Sunday, October 5, 2008, 11:46 AM EST [General]

Lovie Smith told Marvin that he might be getting Cedric Benson at the right time.

The Bengals have very little invested in the former Bear.  If he causes a problem, they can quickly dump him.

Even Mort on ESPN is signing the praises of Chris Henry.  Mort says that the Bengal players are surprised how he's changed, and they are happy for him.

Get past the opinion on whether or not you wanted Henry back.  He's here.  The Bengals were 5--3 with him last year.  Chad averaged 4 yards more per catch when Henry played.  That's a big number.

C Trent will be blogging during the game.  Throw in your two cents.

Let's talk about the game starting at noon on WLW and 1530 Homer.

    Goats and Pitching

Friday, October 3, 2008, 07:56 AM EST [General]

    The Goat lives.  AMAZING !

Lou Pinella is the best.  He's tough.  He's smart.  He's calm.  But, not even Lou can overcome the goat.  Lou starts the series with L.A. and says he is put in his best defensive team.  THEY COULDN'T CATCH THE BALL LAST NIGHT.  Terrible.

If the Cubs don't win this series, this might set them back many years.  The pressure to win after losing is getting to them.  The PRESSURE to win is much rougher today than 30 years ago because of sports talk radio, internet and ESPN.

Take a look at Tampa Bay.  A shortstop who can't hit.  An outfielder who was on waivers twice.  Play smart.  Play together. Pitch !  Pitching Pitching Pitching......

And Tampa Bay has done a great job drafting with more young talented kids to come.

The REDS can be better than many think.  Sure I want a righthanded bat, but don't give up PITCHING to get it.....I hope Walt J. is that smart and doesn't do the wrong thing because he feels the pressure to make a trade.
