Sunday, November 16, 2008, 04:08 PM EST [General]

More On UC moving up to No. 19 from UC.

CINCINNATI - The University of Cincinnati football team moved up to No. 19 in the Associated Press poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches poll after knocking off Louisville, 28-20, at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium Friday.

The Bearcats (8-2, 4-1 BIG EAST) were ranked No. 22 in both polls a week ago. With the win, UC moved into first place in the BIG EAST standings by half a game over idle Pittsburgh and West Virginia.

In 2007, UC closed out the season ranked No. 17 in the AP poll and No. 20 in the USA Today Coaches poll, its first-ever postseason rankings.

UC achieved its highest-ever in-season ranking on Nov. 1, 1954 when the pollsters ranked the Bearcats No. 13 in the AP poll. Cincinnati's top ranking in the USA Today Coaches poll came when it reached No. 17 on Oct. 7, 2007.

The Bearcats return home to Nippert Stadium for their final two league games of the season. UC faces No. 20/19 Pittsburgh Saturday at 7 p.m. in the annual Ring of Red game. UC will don red jerseys for the first time this season and the first time since 2003.

    UC Moves UP

Sunday, November 16, 2008, 03:51 PM EST [General]

Good for UC.  Up to no. 19 in the new AP Poll.

UK looked very poor last night against Vandy.  Joker Phillips, the head coach in waiting, called UK's team "immature."  The lack of leadership isn't very good.

How about this with Chad ?

Chad Johnson never seems to come up short when it comes to entertainment value and with the Eagles in Cincinnati today, Johnson didn't disappoint. According to Eagles web media guy, Dave Spadaro, Chad Ochocinco jumped into an Eagles receiver drill during pregame warm ups
