How to stop Ray Rice and Company

I know this sounds absurd - given the fact the defense gave up over 200 yards rushing - but the defense was not AWFUL yesterday. If our offense is able to parlay the defense's early success and not go three and out the rest of the game, we would be talking about how solid they played today. That said, we lost and our rushing defense was not good!

NEXT TIME THE BENGALS PREPARE TO PLAY THE RAVENS (THEY WILL HAVE MCGEHEE), THEY NEED TO CONTACT MARK DANTONIO AND BRIAN KELLY AND ASK HOW UC TACKLED RAY RICE (OR ANY BACK FOR THAT MATTER). I know UC didn't play great the other day, but if you compare the way they (usually) tackle to the Bengals, it is night and day. The Bengals tend to make the initial pop, but forget the most important part - WRAP THE GUY UP! Anyhow, as I was sitting there watching that last drive yesterday, I began to think how ridiculous the Bengals are and how thankful I am for Kelly and what he is doing (even if OU smoked the Cats).

yes Danny, that wrap up part is so hard for them to remember....I said the same thing yesterday, they love to make the hard hit, they just don't finish it with a wrap! Doesn't seem that hard a concept for the Bengals, but based on Marvin's comments perhaps he forgot to stress that part. I see other NFL teams, college teams, and even HS teams WRAP UP, so why can't the Bengals? Are they just not caring enough to do the job right?

still it's a stretch to give any credit to the D as a whole, my only credit goes to JJ for a good game, the rest can just suck a ...well I'll stop there

Only problem is we played the Baltimore Ravens. Maybe the worse offense in the league. Rookie quarterback, rookie fullback playing running back. I completely agree the offense sucked. But if this defense cant stop a rookie quarterback. Imagin the damage the good teams are going to do to us.
