Sometimes you get a kid in a minor league town who is not setting the world on fire however he still manages to gain the reaspect of the fans. Lead off hitter Keltavious Jones is that guy for the Dragons. He was two for three Sunday afternoon with a run scored but that was not enough as Dayton dropped their game 4-2 to the West Michigan Whitecaps (Detroit, 29-32).

Curtis Partch gave up three in the fourth and that was about what West Michigan needed. The Dragons will now head off to Lansing (Toronto, 33-29) for a four game set starting tomorrow at 7pm. The Dragons hold a three game lead on Fort Wayne for the final playoff spot with eight games remaining. Their magic number sits at six.
