MWL Post Season All Star third baseman, Brandon Waring was two for three on Wednesday with two homeruns and three RBI's as the Dragons beat back the Lugnuts for a second straight night by a final score of 5-4.
Brandon's skill at the plate was matched by Jeremy Horst's sparkling outing on the hill. He threw six innings of two hit baseball that lowered his ERA to 2.38 and upped his record on the year to 8-2.
The Dragons will wrap up their four game set tonight in Lansing at 7 PM. A Dayton win coupled with a Fort Wayne loss will equal the Dragons second straight trip to the post season. The Dragons are also winners of six of their last nine games.
Wednesday's other stats:
Neftali Soto: 1-3, .333, 1HR
Jeff Jeffords: Threw one inning of shutout baseball to record his sixth save of the year
