The Future of the Reds, and Bengals

Friday, May 9, 2008, 07:48 PM EST [General]

The Reds are aging, you see blogs, and stories about it. Yet, I look at a first place Florida Marlins team, who has a notion to bring up their talent, and go for it. I do not understand fully, why Homer is in AAA, or why Bruce isn't up? Don't we have 100 outfielders and 3 pitchers every year? Does it seem that way to anyone else? Aging teams, must go through a rebuilding process. How successful will it be? Is Dusty going to play them? Or, is he going after more Corey Pattersons' in the future? I hope not, yet, have they given us all that much to look forward to so far? Not to be negative, I believe there is plenty of time, yet, what's up with Bronson, why can't the bats come alive for Aaron?

The Bengals, beyond CHAD, beyond this thug-life , that has plagued the team, what do we have this year? Will they be good? Will Jerome Simpson tear it up, or as I call him "Biggie Claws". My wishlist is Shawn Alexander coming here to Cincy, and 50/50 stylin' it with Rudi. I hope this year, we can not implode, and with or without Chad, cause a trade ain't happenin' folks, it's MIKE BROWN after all. So, the drama will continue, and 8-8, or 9-7 looks good right now honestly..

    J-VOT, Homer & Bruce

Wednesday, May 7, 2008, 11:04 PM EST [General]

J-VOT was hot today.. I predict 34 homeruns this year, if he keeps that up.

I declare, it's time to bring up HOMER Bailey and Jay Bruce!! What will it hurt? Let's start them, we have a good starting pitching crew, and with Homer, better still...

Alexander is NOT a bad idea

Monday, May 5, 2008, 08:39 PM EST [General]

I actually think it would be a good move to sign Shawn Alexander... He's a good guy, he can be a leader, and would it be such a bad thing to platoon him and Rudi and maybe even Chris Perry?? Perry is becoming a Peter Warrick, and I'm not even sure about Kenny Irons... Rudi / Alexander nice combo, if you ask me.. Perry a good 3rd guy *IF* healthy.

    The Big Trade

Monday, May 5, 2008, 12:54 AM EST [General]

The Big Trade... Who will make it first, will it be the Bengals , with Chad? Will they trade him at all? I wish they would, he will be a distraction this coming season.

Will the Reds make the move first? Adam Dunn? I don't see Junior going anywhere, I even have a feeling he may be resigned. Freel may be dealt, if he is upset, this might play into the new GM'S hands well.

    In the words of Marvin,

    "That's a good thing."
