    Yankee Fever

Two in a row over the Yanks!!! We're on a roll. Gotta love the guts on that Thompson kid. Man, he sure pitched his heart out. Took us awhile, but we finally got the bats rollin' late in the game. Eddie, he had a clutch hit right there. And Corey came through for us again. Big shot right there. Knew it was only a matter of time, he's been swinging the bat well lately. Cueto goin tomorrow, gotta like our chances of the sweep. Lefty on the mound for the Yankees, so I'll probably play around with the line-up a little bit. Haven't made up my mind just yet. I can tell you one thing, most likely I'll keep Corey in there. I need his defense, ya know. Yankee Stadium's got a BIG outfield. He can cover some ground out there. He's seeing the ball well here too. I'll let you know about the rest of the line-up tomorrow. Gonna add another player here so I gotta figure out what I'm gonna do. Make sure you catch the game on FSN Ohio at 1:00 P.M. Gotta go, ran outta toothpicks.

    Junior Night

Tuesday, June 17, 2008, 10:35 PM EST [General]

Well, its around 10:30, game's over, so i thought I'd do my first blog on here. Holy cow, what a great tribute to Junior before the game tonight. Touched me. Tough loss tonight. That Billingsley kid, man he had it going on. We had a chance there in the 7th, but we couldn't come through. Corey up with two on, two out, thought for sure we was gonna get 'em in. He was swingin' the bat good tonight. Even squeezed one through for a hit. Tough luck on that steal, I thought he was safe. Somebody told me what Welsh said about not batting for Corey in the 7th . He said he didn't know why I didn't bat for him with a lefty on the mound. Then George Grande pointed out to him the obvious, that with Griffey out we didn't have any other outfielders. The Cranky Lefty said that Andy Phillips could go out there, that was the ballgame there, find somebody to play outfield. What I don't understand with this dude is he said it right there. Two outs, 1 run game, runners on second and third, a tough as nails lefty on the mound, who else would I want at the plate? Corey's been swinging the bat well lately, I was sure he was going to come through for us. Tough out. We'll come around though. And no more questions about Homer, man. Ask Walt. He pulls the strings. Gotta go, ran outta toothpicks.
