Cutler vs. C. Trent (Steel Cage Match!)

Tuesday, May 13, 2008, 11:35 AM EST [General]

So, I have to say, my favorite new segment on the station is when Cutler and C. Trent chat it up in the morning.  With the combination of an over-caffientated Cutman and a sometimes lacking sleep C. Trent, the results are simply hilarious....

Monday, C. Trent called Cutler on his use of the word "ironic" which was about odd as a football bat, and today, when Alan asked C. Trent if 3 Different Griffey Trade scenarios were ALL possible, C. Trent could not contain himself and said (paraphrased) "Well Alan, all three can't be possible because they are all different"......

He may come off as an **** to some, but I love C. Trents dry wit.  And doling it out to Cutler is the icining on the cake considering Alan's typical arrogance.  Not to mention, why does Cutman not allow comments on his blog?  Maybe another post for that soon......

I have no time for this, but.....

Why not? So although I have a few blogs that I am the editor for already, I can't help but throw my hat in the ring here since I am a regular Homer listener.

Like many of you, I have followed the station and the show hosts for years, and while it seems like the only consistent thing about The Sports Animal anymore is Lance, I generally think the current lineup is fine. So, as if anyone cares, here are some comments on the current on-air personalities.

Cutler - Sorry "Cutman", but you are probably the one I listen to the least. Your poor habit of "over-enunciating" words combined with a general air of arrogance makes me switch to the national guys in the mornings. I'm sure you have your fans, but I would bet they are of the older variety.

Mo - I really dislike Mo when he was the fill in guy, but his style has grown on me. Although he takes many tangents away from sports, it is usually funny and I don't mind. Probably the biggest "fan" among the personalities, and I think that is what keeps people interested.

Lance - Lance makes up for his over the top nerdiness by being the best sports talk show host in Cincinnati hands down. There is a reason this guy has been doing what he is doing for so long, through so many station changes. His varied format and ability to change when needed set him apart. Lance was one of the first to embrace blogging, even though he constantly refers to it as his "blog page" it is still the most informative among the personalities. Great job Shotgun!

    And the semi-regulars.....

I think the recent addition of C. Trent is a good one, and look forward to his insight and dry wit whenever he gets a chance to be on air.

I could do without "the sports kitten" and the stations attempt to "sex up" the programming a bit more. She seems nice enough but it just serves little to no purpose in my opinion.

At any rate, look for my occasional rants, mostly station and sports related here....
