    Blackout Survival 101

    1.  Gas Grill

    2. Igloo cooler full of individually packaged chicken breast, bottled water, and 12 Natural Light beers

    3. Portable DVD Player

    4. Jensen battery powered Shower radio tuned to 1530 Homer.

    5. Giant Candle

I was forced to spend 3 nights on my deck pounding beers, grilling chicken, and watching Netflix DVD's.  It wasn't so bad.  In a sick way I was kind of disappointed when the lights came back on.  Of course, the entire plan goes out the window if you're not able to procure some ice.  Hopefully most of you have some juice by now but I know there are about 100,000 poor saps in Hamilton county without electricity.  I'm not going to pray for you. Just come over to my house and crack a cold one.

    When will it end?

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 09:41 AM EST [General]

Is the Chris Henry topic going to go on all season long?  Are we really going to have to listen to caller after caller make the same points over and over again for the duration of the NFL season?  He's on the team, there is nothing left to debate. I'm afraid this is going to go on all year just as the people calling in to complain about Corey Patterson getting playing time has gone on all season long.   What is there possibly left to be said about Chris Henry regardless of what side of the fence you're on?

Like the Steelers beat writer Ed Bouchette said yesterday when asked about the Chris Henry situation during his weekly online chat:   You can only take the character stuff so far then you have to do something to try and win games.

If he's available, I'll draft his delinquent a** for my fantasy team.

    Best ride at Kings Island

Wednesday, August 6, 2008, 03:31 PM EST [General]

Today marked the day that Kings Island announcedthe April, 2009 debut of the colossal DIAMONDBACK (I'm already salivating) I thought I would try to put my finger on the pulse of Lot D'ers and find out what their favorite adult themed ride is.

Yeah, I'm not of a red sox fan either, but I get so much joy at seeing the stands filled with sorry cubs fans losing again. As to you as a steller fan....well you deserve to talk, you know we would if the bengals had a winning team year after year.

Their fans should expect it. They're supposed to lose. They're the Cubs! They lose their appeal if they win.
