    ME TOO MCNABB...

I had no idea that there was only 1 OT period in regular season football.  Now, my favorite sport that seemed impervious to all attempts to bring it down from the outside, has just shown it's internal Achilles heel.  YOU CAN NOT END FOOTBALL IN A TIE.  You will leave a sold out crowd leaving with a W.T.F. look on it's face.  I hear all the critisism coming Donovan McNabb's way - probably deserved.  But his coach's play calling was suspect - making me think that neither coach or player really understood the rules.

Over the past 2 weekends, I watched my son's football team play in 1 game with 3 OT's.  I watch the Cardinals/Panthers high school playoff game end in OT.  Countless games go to OT.  Why can every other level of this sport understand "fair and balanced" and at its highest level - we're left with SUDDEN DEATH and one 15-minute clock.  I just don't get it.  It is the one thing that the NFL NEEDS to change!

I'm still in shock that McNabb didn't know about ties in the NFL. I assumed it was common knowledge. I can't believe not a single player or coach said anything to him. Did he not remember the Steelers/Falcons tie from 2002? Oh well, a tie was fitting. Neither team deserved to win that game.
