half way thru the orange bowl i said the following: "why can they look so GREAT on that first drive and then suck it up?"...i immediately had whodey relapse...amazing.
i was just out gettin' a brew after work and saw ODELL swiggin' a celebratory coldie and singing "semi-charmed life"....
all in fun, TOTAL JOKE!!!!!!! and probably not that funny to some. i hope the guy learned a TOUGH, TOUGH lesson. my heart goes out to the guy....good luck buddy. i'm pulling for you. and if you need someone to drive you home - call me.
i had the honor of catching ODELL's game worn gloves down in tennessee in'05. the come from behind game that he had the INT that sealed it. i never saw a bigger "kool-aid" smile in my life. the kid was having a blast out there and he was fun to watch...i hope he can play at that intense level again...
Aaron Harang is a couple of touchdown celebrations away from being a national house hold name. Why is this guy so cool and outside of the 275 loop, people wouldn't recognize him in public. by choice i assume...but i'm affraid the reds fans don't know how REALLY great this guy is....c'mon aaron - summons some brad "THE ANIMAL" leslie antics after a key "K" and you just might make sports center hi-light reel...hell, you might even get to earn more lettuce...LUV YA big fella!
LOOK - it's gotta be "JOHNNY Q". none of this "johnny K" sh!t. i know that he strikes out a lot of dudes...but so many teams drop the "K" on players that get struck out by the opposing pitcher. so his last name starts with "C" - but in order to pronouce it correctly, you are expected to know that the "C" in CUETO sounds like a "Q". so everyone "Jay Q" strikes out - we drop "Q's" on the outfield fence... F the mets and the "K". F a whole lotta the sox from chowda town and their "K's"....we're from the 'nati and we drop Q's!!!!!!!!!!!! Johnny Cueto will keep us busy this year. his strike-outs are reaching freakish proportions.....
so who is feeling me on the "JAY-Q" or "johnny Q" stuff....?
well, the reds are about 15 more games (like they've been playing) and the f'ing season is OVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! look - here's how it works: this city can only handle 1 winner franchise or school every year. XU was the team for '08. sorry whodey, reds, and UC (anything) - not your year. tell me the last time the this city had anything close to boston? (celtics, red sox, patriots) even throw in NKU and other immediate schools and programs...oh, wait - the florence freedom just signed petey rose...that will surely fudge up my stats....
