Watching Josh Hamilton last night was amazing. It was also nice to see the three other Texas Rangers there cheering him on. To me it seemed like they all got along with and were big fans of and with friends with Hamilton.
But when watching this it made me think about the Reds as a team. About how things were less than easy with Josh here. How some of the Reds teammates were annoyed and resented the attention and publicity he got. What does that say about the Reds. Do they really want to be a team and win, or is more about publicity, numbers, and money.
THis was just a thought. I'm not sure I necessarily believe all of this, but it does say something about the Reds. How the Rangers have embraced Hamilton because he is a great player who can help them win, while the Reds players seemed to be indifferent to him.

You know, I couldn't catch this during the season last year. But it came up in the Hamilton SI story when he mentions himself some of the Reds resented his popualarity. That is very sad and just further shows why the Reds need a new attitude by getting rid of Griffey and Dunn and continuing to pump some new blood into the Clubhouse. It is so Bengal-esque of them to a degree and shows a clear lack of leadership and direction. Maybe they have changed, but I still would like to get rid of the dead weight for starters.
