WAY TO GO Lil DAVE!! At 5' 6", 177 lbs, he has been told he was too small. I guess the NHL is just "not that big". Cyclones tough guy, Jimmy Bonneau was a healthy scratch for the game. |

Only caught bits and pieces of the game, but Desharnais didn't look out of place. Nice for him to get the assist in a sort of homecoming for him. I imagine he'll play in Hamilton to start this year, but maybe if he can make a good impression on Carbo, he'll get his shot down the road. |

I think he's got a legitimate chance of making the roster. Remember Martin St. Louis?? I remember watching him skate around us when he played for the Detroit Vipers in the IHL days. Hell of a nice guy too. Size don't matter. David D's got a heart of pure f...kin' gold! Don't back down from anyone and is just as quick to hit back as well. The kid's a future star....no doubt about it. Winning the MVP last year was just the beginning. Nice to see Aubin on his side.... first hit of the game..... Aubin. I don't expect him back either. Think he's AHL bound though.... but that isn't a bad thing either. Fact of the matter.... we all got to see them last year and now we get to see them in the NHL like other Cyclones alumni.... Erik Cole, David Tanabe, etc. |

Like I said maybe down the road, but Desharnais won't make the roster out of camp. There is an awful lot of talent in front of him.Think about the centers with the big club right now - Koivu, Lang, Plekanec and Lapierre. Then you have guys like Pacioretty and Maxwell that are also looking to crash the lineup. David is going to have to prove himself in Hamilton first. If he can post similar number in the AHL to what he did in Cincy last year, he'll demand some attention. |

Ceddy might make the habs. He came in in relief of Price vs Detroit and held them scoreless, then put up a donut in the shootout! Thomas Beauregard, former Cyclone scored a goal to send it to overtime! The Clones may be a minor league team but there is PLENTY of Major League talent!! |

Heckler, I love your enthusiasm, but there is no way that he's going to beat out Price and Halak. Price is being looked at as the next Patrick Roy. Halak is good enough to start for a lot of teams in the NHL. Those guys are very secure. In addition to them, Montreal still has Marc Dennis in camp and he's got a lot of NHL experience under his belt. I'm kind of wondering what they are going to do with him. BTW, the Habs actually just signed a goalie named Robert Mayer from Saint John. Look for some of those guys to make the progression up to the AHL this year and we'll see what they do. Like I've implied, it's extremely rare for anyone to jump from the ECHL to the NHL directly. |

Ahhh. Didn't know the Hab's depth at gaolie. Sounds like Ceddy will be in Hamilton. As for the new guy, Chuck said last night he may be here this year. Chuck also signed 2 new players..1 from Notre Dame and 1 from Minnesota. One (forget which) Chuck is concerned will not come back from AHL camp. To me that means we will recieve an AHL level player in return...who knows. I just wish Oct 25th was closer..I can't wait!! |

Minor league hockey talk should be banned in all forms of media. |

Put the crack pipe down and slowly back away!! Nothing minor about the Cyclones except the salaries. The only thing that needs to be banned is people like you who are so used to losing, that when a winner comes to this town, you want them gone. Get a life! Enjoy your 2-14 BUNGLES this Sunday after you paid $100 or more for your ticket. After the game, get a DD. Your drunk A$$ will get caught before mki

Just because a minor league game is all you can afford, don't critize those that can afford to spend big money on a real sport-no matter how bad the product is. For the record, I do not root for the Bengals or go to their games. |
