You know you are having a bad day...

Saturday, May 3, 2008, 11:59 AM EST [General]

It's 12 noon on Saturday.  I left my house at 8:15 to go into work for a couple hours.  So already the day isn't good.  It's raining and I have to go to the grocery store after work.  I get in my truck and start her up.  Put it in gear and release the emergency brake...  The brake light stays on!  Uh-oh..this can't be good.  So I drive around the block and I slow down to go over a speed bump when I look down and notice my speed-o-meter isn't working either.  Well it can't be that bad I'll just drive on in to work and I'll worry about this on Monday...  Wrong, as I am driving in my check engine light comes on.  Now all this has happened in a matter of 15 minutes.  Luckily my neighborhood Car-X is right on the way.  I pull in and wait...and wait...and wait!  Only to watch the parts delivery guy come and go not once but twice with the wrong part!  The Guys at Car-X were so concerned with me sitting here so long that they took it upon themselves to drive out and get the right part themselves!  Now it's almost 4 hours later and here i sit...  Oh did I mention that my wife stopped by when the first delivery guy was here and offered me a ride home.  "Nah, they're almost finished with it", I told her...  Boy was I wrong...  At least the weather is crappy today!  I don't have to go home and work outside.  I can sit here in peice and quiet and read posts on LotD!  I should have known better!
