I do not expect them to be an NCAA team next year (nor did I say that), but I do believe they will make the NIT. While it's not the tournament of my choice, it's a lot better than what they were two years ago - a team with one scholarship player. Just out of curiosity - what makes you think UC is years away from being competitive in the Big East? In case you didn't realize, they won eight games last year and at the half way point of the conference schedule, they were very much alive.
