The chicken tenders from Eddie's Southern Style BBQ were the closest I've found in the area. The chicken was drier, the coating/breading wasn't as tasty, and the only available sauces were hot or BBQ. But, they were definitely the southern style chicken finger. I'm hoping to try them in the restaurant the next time I'm in Florence, maybe they'll be better (with other sauces, too) than the wham-bam-who's-next of Taste.
Burbank's Southern Smoked Chicken Tenders were close in name only. The breading was too hard and crunchy, not a bad thing in and of itself, but not the paradigm, and again the meat was drier than Zaxby's.
...as far as the 18 inning marathon, I'm just sick...
