I beleive that the NFL has a once in a lifetime shot of accomplishingsomething incrediable this year. To have not 1 but 2 teams go 0 - 16 would be monumental. In this day and age of the NFL parity league when any team on any given day can beat another the 2008 season brings us the Cincinnati Bengals and the Detroit Lions.

I know that it is probably just wishful thinking but to have two 0-16 teams would be the highlight of my 34 years as a fan of the NFL. It serves Roger Goodell right to have such futility in his league of overpaid whiners. I am sure that Rog would institute about 100 new rules in the offseason to prevent this from happening again. Rules such as the Bengals and Lions get an extra 3 timeouts per half and unlimited challenges, Bengal and lions QB's get to wear those silly skull caps over their helmets and they are untouchable, (techniqually this has already happened league wide).

This really boils down to who is going to be able to lay claim to truely being the absolute worst of the worst come seasons end. I am praying to the Gods of football Paul Brown, and Woody Hayes that this feat can be realized by both franchises. That being said if we do have to defeated's I think that we need to honor each of these teams by a playing game to determin who would get the opportunity to ruin the number 1 pick in the 2009 drafts career. This could easily work into the week before the Super Bowl.

If this idea is not embraced by the NFL we could always go with the FIGHT TO THE DEATH match between Mike Brown and William Ford Sr..

I find it interesting that the media has taken to ripping Marin so much concerning his press confrences.

I am assuming that Lance and Cutler would prefer that Marvin come out like Mike Singeltary and point out the players flaws in the presser. (Based on the time constraints I do not think this is possible.)

Seriously though, Marvin, is at this point doing what is best for him financially. It would not surprise me in  the least if there were something written into Marvs contract that prohibits him from speaking out against the team and / or ownership. Marvin I am sure would love nothing more to be fired right this minute than to have to coach this team through the remainder of his contract. The problem is that if he quits he will forgo the remainder of his money and he will not even make close to what he makes now when he goes back to being a D cordinator.

I listened yesterday to his press ocnfrence and you can tell he just really does not give a **** about any of it. All he is doing now is biding his time and counting his money untl he gets fired. The one thing that he cannot do is give Mikey a reason to fire him with cause therefore voiding the remainder of his contract. This is just the type of move the cheapass Brown family would pull if they thoguht they could get away with it.

That being said I cannot fault Marvin for riding out the string and dealing with the mess that the retard that is MB has given him to work with. I would personally prefer that he call out the owner for being an idiot that does not know how to run a franchise but it is just not going to happen.

In yet another failed chapter in the history of Bengals Free Agency. How do they get it so wrong not once or twice, but everytime.

For all of the J Smith haters (LANCE) who thought that anything would be an upgrade how do you feel about this signing now?

We let a 3 down defender go for a 2 down defender. We let a guy who at least gave effort on every play go for a guy who stands straight up at the line on every play. We let a guy who has 28 tackels, 3 sacks, 1 int, and 1 pass defended go for a guy with 8 tackels, 1 forced fumble, and  1 pass defended.

I by no means think that Justin Smith is the reason that the Bangals are 0-5, but watching Odom play defense is like watching paint dry. He stands up straight on every play and is engaged and that is it. I have yet to see him trail a play or even give average effort on a series.

This is a perfect example of what the Bengals get in free agency, second or 3rd rate playes for roughly the same money as 1st rate players because no one that has any talent wants to waste it here!!!

Warren Sapp just ripped Al Davis on Inside the NFL. This is what needs to happen here in Cincinnati for Mike Brown to maybe get the message.

Could you imagine if Anthony Munoz, Ken Anderson, Boomer, or Chris Collinsworth called Mike Brown on the carpet like this? It just seems like ex players are not interested or are affraid to really question what Mike Brown has done to this franshise.

I do not know if this would make much of a diffrence but it sure would be nice to see some of these people speak out.
