Can someone please explain to me why in the hell both Palmer and Fitzpatrick take a knee everytime theres a free play?  Over the past 4 or 5 years I've seen this scenario about 900 times and it ceases to amaze me that no coach has said to either one of them ITS A FREE PLAY!!!!  In tonights game Fitzpatrick takes a knee and there wasn't even a frickin penalty to begin with.  I've seen Palmer do this same thing before to, assuming there was a flag then wasting a down. 

First baseman Yonder Alonso from Miami, the seventh overall pick in the draft, agreed to a $4.55 million, five-year contract with the Reds shortly before the midnight deadline tonight. Considering how far apart they were just a few hours ago, this is fantastic news.

Adam Dunn has been traded to the Diamondbacks today. In exchange for Dunn, Cincinnati will receive minor league pitcher Dallas Burk and two other players to be named later. I'm gonnna cry myself to sleep tonight after hearing this news, I just wish we could have packaged the invaluable commodity Corey Pattersen in that deal somehow.
