    QUOTE OF THE WEEK 8/28/08

Thursday, August 28, 2008, 01:15 PM EST [General]

Once so many of his players came to the conclusion to return, Tressel needed to make a decision of his own.

"Hey, there's a bunch of guys that could have gone on and they really enjoy their time here, they're excited about being here another year, so we've got to make sure they get our best," he said. "It was a great reminder to us as a staff that they've risked a little bit, if you will, and we've got to make sure that we do everything we can do to make their risk pays off."

    Oregon Football 2008

Thursday, August 28, 2008, 09:48 AM EST [General]

Ok my first love is The Ohio State University Buckeyes. I also love the Oregon Ducks. And Duck fans received horrible news today. Our starting QB is not longer available to play. The adorable Nate Costa had to have another knee surgery and he is out. Sophomore Justin Roper is now the starting QB. How disappointing! We start the season in 2 days! And there is a new QB! The Ducks should still do pretty good this year but this is going to hurt. Can't wait to see how they do against Washington this Saturday.

Nate Costa. He's out. Justin Roper. He's in.

    2008 Team Captains

Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 01:53 PM EST [General]

The Ohio State University has released the names of the 2008 Football Team Captians.  Todd Boeckman, Malcolm Jenkins, James Laurinaitis and Brian Robiskie were all elected to lead the team. This is the second year for Laurinaitis. He is only the 7th player in OSU history to be elected a two time captian. This shows how the team views his leadership both on and off the field.

Ohio State opens the 2008 season Saturday, August 30, hosting Youngstown State in a noon game at Ohio Stadium. That contest will be televised by the Big Ten Network.  Speaking of which:

COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Big Ten football fans who missed out on games last year because Time Warner Cable didn't carry the fledgling Big Ten Network can now relax.

The network and the cable company said late Monday that they've reached an agreement that will enable Time Warner to carry games this fall involving Ohio State and other conference members.

That means Buckeye fans in central Ohio, where Time Warner is the dominant cable provider, should be able to watch Ohio State's opener against Youngstown State on Saturday.

The network and Time Warner said in a joint statement that the cable company will carry the channel on expanded basic in the eight states where Big Ten schools operate.

The Big Ten Network is expected to broadcast three of the first five Buckeye games this season.

    Girls Next Door/ Selma Blair

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 02:14 PM EST [General]

The Girls Next Door season has begun yet again! I love this show. I know I know. But I am a reality tv junkie. I think Holly, Bridget and Kendra are hilarious! I wanna be Bridget's BFF. You should check it out sometime.

So we go from them in bikinis to this...a freaking mess. There once was a day when Selma Blair was hot. Now she is not. It appears as though she lost something in her top....And I think the Girls Next Door found it. No, wait, I know they have.
