Now I'm not going to sit here and blast Dusty Baker for his managing. At some point, his players need to take accountability for themselves...after all, they are PROFESSIONALS. I don't play ball anymore but the stuff these guys forget are things we learned the first time I picked up a bat almost 18 years ago. Sure Dusty makes mistakes, but his players are either A) not that good to start with, B) don't care, or C) forgot how to play fundamental baseball. Anyways, we get a bit of a streak here in the Nati, then again, go on the road and lay an egg. Big series right? How about a joke.
Now the big thing I keep in mind, we said this ball club would be a .500 team I do believe. The Reds are what, 7 games below .500? If they're 7 games below .500 at the end of the year, that's a huge success from last years joke of a season. I say we just play it out and hope for next year. Besides...we've got football to look forward to!
