A very brief Q/A with Mark C. Chalifoux

Monday, July 7, 2008, 08:22 PM EST [General]

Welp, this whole "blogging" thing has been fun. Actually, it's been an unmitigated disaster. That may be an overstatement as well, but I'm here today to answer a few brief questions you may have about my day-to-day life.

Are you going to start blogging on a regular basis again?

    Yes I am!

    Are you lying about that?

You know it! I'm not updating this thing on a regular basis.

    Why not?

I don't get paid enough. Well, I don't get paid. But, that doesn't mean you can't find me on the internet. I get paid to blog for the Baltimore Sun about Mixed Martial Arts, the sport everyone is ignoring because they are ignorant. YOU CAN FIND IT HERE.Also, you can find me writing for Crave Online. I write under a pseudonym though, because people can't tell the difference between humor writing and sports writing. Once football season starts up again, you can find me here at SI.com. Hmm, looks like I forgot to turn off the link thing. It's starting to get like an extra long message on answering machine that you make extra long because you're trying to make it special rather than just an annoyingly long message. So, here's the world's largest link to SI.com (someone call the people at Guiness...the world record people, not the beer people. Actually, call them both).

To go out on a high note, here's a picture of a hot chick.

What Reds fans have in common with God....

Monday, May 19, 2008, 09:48 AM EST [General]

Do you know who the Reds fans remind me of? God. That's not to flatter Cincinnati fans. There are few comparisons between the all-powerful deity and fans whose loyalties bounce around like a napkin in the wind. There is one major one, however. Both are bi-polar.

Reds struggle...BOO Reds. Reds win 6 in a row--HOORAY, REDS! Trade Dunn! Save Dunn! And so on and so forth. They cant decide if they are going to be pessimistic fans or homers. Their indecision is God-like.

Old Testament God will smite you and your family for coveting your neighbor's oxen (gross).

New Testament God loves us all and will save us with his love.

So what's it going to be, Reds fans? I say drink the Kool-Aid, it will keep you cool all summer.

Despite my brief sabattical from full-time posting, here are a few excellent links. First two are sports related, the last is just awesome.

    CHEERLEADERS CAN SAVE THE WORLD

    PUNCHING WOMEN FOR ORPHANS

    So....

Monday, May 12, 2008, 09:58 AM EST [General]

When it comes to this blog, some people have accused me as being as lazy as this guy.

But is he really lazy, or is he the smartest man alive? The dog gets exercise, and the man doesn't have to do anything. Plus, if the dog gets away, things get really interesting.

The important thing to understand here is that this blog will rise again. This week, in fact. I am merely waiting for one last thing to fall into place with an outside party and then this whole thing falls into place.
