EliteXC In The RED

It's been reported that the EliteXC lost $27 million in 2007 alone. EliteXC paid $3.25 million for "King of the Cage", $4.1 million for "MMA Limited", $400,000 for "Icon", and $1 million for "Spirit MC". Overall, they are $31 million in the hole. To help with the situation EliteXC started layoffs in January. They have big money contracts with Kimbo Slice, Robbie Lawler, and the crowd favorite Gina Carano. EliteXC recently signed a deal with CBS that will give them the first ever MMA event on network television. Will this deal save the EliteXC and get them out of this huge debt?
Bisping vs Leben Confirmed
Wow! UFC 85 has quickly turned from a card in trouble to a very, very, good card. Just hours after a main event of Matt Hughes vs Thiago Alves was announced more good news is confirmed. Michael "The Count" Bisping will square off with Chris "The Crippler" Leben at the O2 Arena in London, England on June 7.
Many have thought Michael Bisping, the light heavyweight winner of TUF 3, has been protected by the UFC. Well, it seems that era is over. Less than a week after his middleweight debut and TKO victory over the recently retired McCarthy Michael Bisping may have bitten off more than he can chew. Chris Leben is coming off back to back wins including an impressive TKO of Alessio Sakara at UFC 82. This will be a great fight added to a now impressive card. London fans were obviously disappointed to hear of the injury to Chuck Liddell but are very excited to hear the news that Bisping will be back in England AGAIN.
