The Bengals today waived HB Kenny Irons, under the category of Waived/Failed Physical. Irons failed the team physical earlier this week. Irons, from Auburn, was Cincinnati’s second-round choice in the 2007 draft. Irons father: "Kenny will be back"
C. Trent
David Irons, Sr., has two sons in the NFL and knows a bit about the business
of the league. Although he found out about his younger son being waived by the Bengals from
a reporter's phone call, he's far from surprised or upset by the move. "Kenny's going to be fine," David Irons said on Friday. "It's a minor
set-back, it has to be done for the team. For roster and salary cap
purposes." David Irons said he expects his son to clear waivers and then be put on the
Bengals' reserve list, which would end his season.

he'll decide if Curtis Pulley or Mike Hartline will be under center
when the Wildcats open the season at rival Louisville Aug. 31. "When it feels right, we'll make that decision," Brooks said during the annual Governor's Cup luncheon.
