    Random...

Tuesday, August 26, 2008, 02:24 PM EST [General]

I think the Reds play tonight...does anyone still care?

Shut down Volquez, Harang and Cueto for the rest of the year.  See if Paul Wilson, Joey Hamilton and David Wells can finish out the year for us.

I still can't believe the horrible game the Bengals gave us on Saturday.  I am very concerned...

At least I have real sports to watch...fourth grade and kindergarten soccer...better product than Cincinnati offers me.

    Great weather we're having!

    What the....

Sunday, August 24, 2008, 03:36 PM EST [General]

The Bengals never disappoint.  They always show you a new way to suck.  Prea-season, yes.  Post-season, no.

Waive Rudi Pavano, er, Johnson (if he is still around) and sign Alexander.  At least he is not injured.

Volquez is still awesome.  Great season on a crap team.

So sad the Olympics is gone.  Now I'm stuck with overpaid, prima donna athletes that have no love for sports.

Break out the arc people.  We got rain in Dayton for at least 3 minutes today.

    Hmmmm....

Wednesday, August 20, 2008, 01:38 PM EST [General]

Why is Paul Bako still behind the plate?  Great guy, not the future.

Olympics is drawing to a close...sad to see it go.

I had a dream last night of a pennant race and the dawn of a promising football season...I woke up laughing.

I pissed my boss off so I just forwarded him the letter from the Reds and everything was just fine.  You can apparently explaing away just about anything with proper nonsense.

    Confused...What Else Is New?

Tuesday, August 19, 2008, 01:17 PM EST [General]

When is Ray Carruth up for parole?  As I recall he was a solid player.  I'm sure he has seen the error of his ways.  Everyone deserves a second/third/fourth/fifth/sixth/seventh chance don't they?

What is the definition of integrity?

I thought a mouth had only 2 sides out of which you could talk.

    I really love beach volleyball.

Did anyone else get very dizzy watching the trampline gymnastics?

    Peace.

    Friday Thoughts

Friday, August 15, 2008, 07:49 AM EST [General]

    Phelps is not human.

Youth movement huh?  Rebuilding huh?  Why in the hell is Bako behind the plate.  Get the youngster in there!  Dickerson is winner.  The guy is big, can run and hustles.  How about Rosales SPRINTING back to the plate after a foul ball.  You taking notes Dunn and Griffey?  That is what it is like to be hungry...Dunn, I know you don't know that feeling.

Football fever is here!  I can't wait for Sunday night.  Pre-season but still...

    Peace, out.

Thanks Bill....Add as a friend if you so choose....I'll never stop rooting for them, just stop spending hard earned money on them. Throwing good money after bad is Mike Brown's job not mine! Have a good one.

I guess I am a sucker for this type of thing. Also comparing it to the actions of Bengals management is probably a bad perspective also. I think Jocketty will build a winner though and I truly believe the guy wants to and more importantly knows how to win. I'm not sure Dusty is the right kind of guy for a young ball club.

I know, I stand corrected! hahahaha...Jurassic line my arse. But as you have pointed out before it is only preseason...so I am not panicking but I am concerned about both the O line and D line. I think the O line can pull together but that D line stll gets absolutely no pressure and look like they've always looked. I wonder what Odom's status is.

during the offseason, I was very pessimistic, but as training camp rolled around I could see a 9-7 record. After last night, I still say 9-7. They did some things good and other things bad. So we'll see if they work on them. The winner of the AFCN will probably be 9-7, so at this point with the Bengals under the radar, they may have a chance to surprise some folks. I really like Zimmer and his philosophy!

In answering your question on your Status:

Because dumb people don't think...they just do. Smart people (like myself) think too dern much! and then think themselves out of doing anything...I wish I was a dumass!

Hey, Bill, I most definitely detected the sarcasm...haha...I think the Pudge pick up was good for the Yanks, although Pudge is not what he used to be, he is an experienced vet in a position of need. The Yanks are in trouble now because Joba left the game last night with shoulder soreness.

Thanks, Bill, it was great, I've never seen anything like that...I was like a little kid. I only wish I could have seen the whole thing, I caught the first half of the parade but I think I saw most of the legends.

haha, you're probably right! The Reds are done, but let's take it one step at a time...The legs have to sweep the Brew Crew, and then after the break be about the business of trading or giving away Arroyo, Dunn and Griffey, Jr. Then play good fast defensive ball with younger energy guys to get to .500 That is a good starting goal for this team and would be a huge momentum swing going into next year. (aaahhh the dreaded words, next year always seems to be in the daily use vocab of Cincy sports fans!)

haha, muffin mania strikes Lot D...I actually need to take a break. Tonight is huge, they have to win these next 2 against the Cubs, which is why I won't be watching. When I was with the kids and did not pay a stitch of attention to the Reds they got the sweep. As soon as I go to the bar, Dunn stands in the box and gets tagged out, makes a force out on a pop single at second, etc...so I am clearly the reason why they lose. No more, it's all about reverse karma...I don't care.

Bill, I thought for sure I could just watch a couple minutes to appease the lady and say, ok, can we turn this thing now...no way, I was all in after Yul's first "etc., etc., etc.," haha! The pic of me leaning on the cop car was nothing special, I was hanging out in Coney Island and the cops were not around so I asked a somebody to snap me.

C-hey, N-hey, D-hey, that never gets old...hey I consider myself open minded and progressive (but conservative with some things). I have to say this judge just gave the term liberal new meaning. Go figure.

I will do my Karmic, rally-jacket wearing best to help the Reds offense score some runs. Mussina is pitching for the Yanks, unfortunately, he forgot he was Mike Mussina...maybe tonight he will remember.

Thanks, Bill...yeah, I've got a weird thing for Silverman. She certainly isn't hot by traditional standards but there is something about her, I guess it is her sense of humor.

Tiger is unbelievable...it wasn't too long ago I would've scoffed at greatest athlete in the sporting world but I think you have to put him in the conversation. The dude is focused and determined like no other except for MJ.
