Another strong game and a great performance from Volquez!  The guy is dy-no-mite!  I am very bummed about losing my favorite player though.  Keppinger has been the most solid player on this team since the second half of last season.  He is a pleasure to watch.  What is frustrating to me is the fact that he should have been on base before the ill fated foul ball.  The ump clearly missed the call on what should have been ball four.  Oh well, what can you do?  It is amazing that he stayed in and finished his at bat picking up an RBI.  Get well soon pal.  We have strung together a 2 game win streak and that is a good thing.  Is that the longest of the season?  Hairston has been solid and will be a decent replacement.  Let's win this series and move on to kick some Cleveland butt.

    Another heart attack...

Finally!  A win for Harang.  I thought that despite the solo shots that he still pitched a solid game.  I was glad to see the bats come alive.  Now, Mr. Griffey, what the hell was going on in that outfield?  He almost blew everything for Cordero!  Then, the next fly ball was no piece of cake for him either.  That is not like him.  Does he need a day off to clear his mind?  That was too close for comfort, but a very solid 9th from Cordero.  Hey, we are still the only team in the majors without a blown save.  I have to take anything I can get at this point.  Let's keep the momentum going and see another fabulous outing from Volquez tonight.  Also, I did enjoy listening to the guest announcer from Louisville last night.  Very sharp...

    What is there to say?

Another dreadful weekend on the diamond.  At least Bronson pitched an outstanding game!  I am very tired of Belisle.  I don't want to pile on, but batting out of order just sums up what is happening with this team.  No focus, no concentration.  That is absolutely embarrasing even though it had no impact on the game and Ross did get a hit on his "do-over."  At least we will see a scrappy team in Florida come to town.  This team has no "superstars" just some guys that want to hustle and play ball. It is a great story for the beginning of the season.  I doubt they can sustain but they are fun to watch. Maybe the Reds can piece together 4 runs for Harang and get him a freakin' win!  He is the best 1-5 pitcher in the history of the game.  Come on boys!!!

OK!  Let's get a winning streak going.  We can "get healthy" in New York.  Let's keep the bats going.

    Another move in the booth

I just read on Lance's blog that the Reds really shook things up today and added an announcer for a few games.  I think we are on the right track here.  This will add several wins to the season.  Give me a break...
