i'm not the only one saying the reds should've taken beckham -- i've heard several scouts say they were shocked the reds didn't take him. i've been told he's as near mlb-ready as anyone in the draft. and notice he didn't last long after the reds.

that said, i don't think he's a corner infield, outfield guy, not a shortstop. but he's also hitting better than .400 and is tied for the country's lead in homers
