If everybody says this, and visualizes the Reds winning tonight, I believe we will have the Reds first 4 game win streak and first sweep of the season, against a not too bad Marlin squad.

Well, guys and gals, its been a while but I have been very busy this week,

but I'm here to lay a couple thoughts down for you so....shall we.

I gotta say this, but Volquez to me is scary!  As strong as he looked the other night in their win over Florida (and all season) the kid has a lot of room to grow still and if he does, he will be as dominant as Big Pedro.  (i.e. I think when he's frustrated he can lose a bit of focus).

Also want to quickly give props to the JTM man himself, Bronson Arroyo.  If he can keep this up the Reds could turn it around in time to win the division.

Anyway, this is the end of the Reds futility and I can see them beginning to make the long climb back, which would be better aided by trading Griffey, Dunn or both.  By the way, I wish I had a picture, but the game I saw with Volquez pitching at the bar the other night, this dude was in the first few rows down the 3rd base line in the outfield, in close proximity to Dunn, wearing a white T with "Trade Adam Dunn" scrawled across the front in red and black sharpie.  Hillarious!

I've got a couple of movies to recommend (either to watch or stay away from)...one is from last week and I was hesitant to share because...you know what I'm holding that one back still...instead I'll talk about a movie that had me at the edge of my seat...a documentary called, "Modify"

I have got to say this movie is not for the squeemish.  The movie goes deep into the world of body modification.  Interesting points taken from the movie:

• Body Modification is a long spectrum with people at the beginning and people who are still traveling on the extreme other side trying to go farther.
• Body Modification is considered to be anything, anything that modifies your body (i.e. haircuts, shave, trim nails, to more extreme, tatoos and piercings, bodybuilding, to hanging on hooks or having horns and such implanted etc.).
• I saw a human (Cat Stalker) who looked more like a tiger with the modifications he had done.
• Many of the people who modify there bodies in more extreme ways are just like me, they work, pay bills, and in many instances have children, spouses, and family.

They, like most of us don't like to be judged.  Now, I have a very open-mind, but if you don't, this is not the movie for you.  I don't like to view it as a freakshow, because these are real folks, real people with feelings-so if you can view it with that type of respect/mindset, then it is for you.  They do show actual piercings and stuff (I mean a lot of stuff, hell some might even call it gory) so this is not for the kids, but if you like to learn new things and definitely see new things, I give Modify a strong "check it out."  (and it also won a bunch of those awards with the reefs or whatever like Sundance or Cannes or whatever, so if you're into indie film as well, check it out).
