    Castellini Is the New Jay-Z

Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 04:46 PM EST [General]

"I WILL NOT LOSE!" -Jay Z-

"we're just not going to lose anymore." -B. Castellini-

THAT, is the attitude of champions!  Refreshing.  Lance is speaking on it but I felt the same chill he did when the Mr. Castellini uttered those words.

Is Marvin Doing a Reverse Chad?

Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 04:16 PM EST [General]

Hmmm, we have accused Chad of being me first the past few months.  What about Marvin, is Marvin taking a stand for his own pride, for the pride of the Bengals front office, or maybe it is his personal vendetta for Chad punching him at halftime in the playoff game (you know the only one in the past 17 seasons)???

What is best for the Bengals?  Teach Chad (and all Drew's clients) a lesson, OR to clean up that locker room, get the attitude on the team right, and get some value in return to improve the TEAM?

So what is it Marvin, stick to your guns or improve the team by subraction and addition of draft picks, quality starter on D, etc.?

BTW why did Bob not fire Kriv when they brought in Walt last January?  That way Walt could've gotten some things done prior to now.  Anyway, good luck, Walt!

    One Last Thing about Carson

Wednesday, April 23, 2008, 09:23 AM EST [General]

Here is the quote I referred to yesterday in being a bit critical of Palmer:

"I've always been a forgiving guy," Palmer said. "I hope he's here because he's a good player. I hope he's here. It's part of the game. In this league, it's such a business, you have to be prepared for anything, be accepting of anything and just move on." -Carson-

The main crux of my frustation with Palmer is when he says, "I hope he's here because he's a very good player."  Now, if you are a Bengals WR, what does that say to you?  It says to me this guy would rather have a malcontent in here as opposed to working with the guys that are going to be here busting their humps.  It reveals that Carson does not have a lot of faith in the depth of the receiving corps.  It may be with good reason and I would worry about the Bengals depth at the position as well, but for the QB to have that attitude is a problem.

Carson's quote should have been something like this:

I've always been a forgiving guy, but, I am going to be here working with the WRs on the team that want to be here and want to win.  We've got great talent here but this organization is bigger than any one person.

Something like that does not disrespect Chad but it does instill and show confidence in the other receivers and it lets everybody including Chad know the Bengals are team first.  Carson had a great opportunity to be strong and be a vocal leader but once again he took the wishy washy, lukewarm route.

It isn't the first time either.  Look how long he defended Slim.  Anyway I'm done with this and I know a lot of you don't like to talk about the Golden Boy, but you know I am right.

    Carson is our Dirk Nowitski

Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 03:09 PM EST [General]

"I've always been a forgiving guy," Palmer said. "I hope he's here because he's a good player. I hope he's here. It's part of the game. In this league, it's such a business, you have to be prepared for anything, be accepting of anything and just move on." -Carson-

Carson and Dirk have formidable skills but both are soft as ice cream and puddin.  Carson is one of the greatest natural throwers I've seen, his accuracy is unparalelled, he has the arm of a howitzer, he is a solid dude and a great role model...but Carson is weak, straight up!  I wish Carson did not defend Chad, I'm not saying come out in public and start anything but at least don't defend a guy who has taken more than one opportunity to rip you.

What the Bengals need is FIRE.  That is what this team lacks, on D, on special teams, on offense...there seems no one capable of lighting the team and fire to say, that's it, screw that! the pads are off, lets get down and dirty.  That is the makeup of a successful football team.  I don't expect Marvin to light a fire under the guys because he is not on the field and can only do so much.  But, you take that QB and inject him with passion, you got the whole team going nuts.  I'm not saying lose your composure...

I'm sayin grab a dude's facemask and let him know, get on that sideline and let the D know you are counting on them and know they can do the job, and if they aren't someone needs to air that as well (in private).  Carson is so vanilla, he makes vanilla ice cream look sasparilla.  I understand his style personality and all that, but in this league without that passion you won't get too far.

    Reds Random Thoughts Abbreviated Version:

The Reds Suck...(I hope I'm wrong but I doubt it).  As it is now this team can not play with the better teams in their own division-which is supposedly the weakest in baseball.

I turned to talk to my friend V, who is a Mets fan and he told me how rude Philly fan was, when I looked up the ball landed in the stands...

But this is why I love the sports bar, OPTIONS:

    Mets v Cubs-Wash v Clev-game 7 NHL Bruins v Canadiens     I watched everything and only dropped 15 bucks.

Had a great appetizer, grilled shrimp and scallops on a bed of roasted spinach, tomatoes mushrooms, onions in a balsamic reduction.  SWEEEEET!

Who the hell told Freel to steal down 5-0 with 0 out and you need Baserunners?!?!

    Peace and Blessings to All!

Quickie Before My Reds 'Random Thoughts'

Tuesday, April 22, 2008, 12:41 PM EST [General]

Finally got  a lunch break from an excruciating meeting...

Quickly, saw Marvin (Bengals) finally stand up to Chad and I like it...but don't you have to at least think about trading Chad and getting some kind of value?

I wish Carson would grow a set, he should have told Chad in no uncertain terms..."piss off"
