    Thoughts about griffey trade..

Thursday, July 31, 2008, 11:10 PM EST [General]

It has to be sweet for Griffey to be going to a club with postseason hopes. The reds weren't going to pick up his option after this year so why not get something for him. Juniors 8+ years here in cincinnati were a disappointment. From the injuries to the fans having a way way to high expectations. Griffey good luck to you and I hope you lead the sox to the playoffs. And good luck playing centerfield.

You play like the guys around you!!!

Monday, July 28, 2008, 01:23 AM EST [General]

Recently I have heard people say why have the young guys hustled less? My answer is simply this: the manager sets a certain atmosphere in the clubhouse. It can be we always hustle no matter what or we can be really laid back. The reds chose the ladder of the 2. I am going to pick on Jay Bruce for a second because he is the one that i noticed this in the most. Jay Bruce doesn't run out ground balls as hard as he use to because it seems to me there is no punishment for not playing the game hard. The phillies manager bench Jimmy Rollins because he didn't hustle on a pop up. Rollins had no problem with it. When you have a manager who is to friendly to say the least to the players, they are going to get comfortable and not play as hard. If we had a guy like pinella or a bobby cox, the reds would play twice as hard.

    good split

Monday, July 21, 2008, 02:27 PM EST [General]

So, if you would have told me that we would split with the mets before the series started, I would have taken it. The mets came in to GABP on a pretty sweet winning streak. They had been playing great baseball. I went to the game on friday and saturday and the place was electric which was nice for once. Now that we got the toughest part of our homestand out of the way, what do you say we take at least 4 out of the next 6 games. Is that to much to ask?

    solid win

Friday, July 18, 2008, 10:57 PM EST [General]

A good solid win for the redlegs tonight. The reds didn't get as many runs as they could have with the mets walking the world. It was a good bounce back win after the tough loss last night. I couldn't even imagine where the psychy of this team would be with a loss tonight. My only question is why did dusty pinch hit for arroyo in the 8th? Plus, they had the pinch hitter bunt on the 1st pitch. I would have let arroyo finish the game out. He held the mets to 1-2-3 innings every inning except the 4th. Dusty must really want to keep arroyo around.
