Reds:
Good- I am very excited about the Reds. Depth is a good thing and it looks like we have some in the field and on the mound. Please tell me we can win 85 games in this division.
Bad- I have been excited about the Reds every year, and look where that has gotten me.......still having nightmares about the one game playoff vs. the Mets. Since then things have never been the same.....The Curse of Al Leiter.
Bengals:
Good- Got rid of Chris Henry. Next should be 85. Addition by subtraction is the formula for success. Everyone must be on the same page in order to win. Look at the Giants...........Tiki went to the booth and when it came to winning time they had no major distractions. Even Plexi-glass kept his mouth shut, for the most part.
Bad- It is going to take time to heal all of these wounds and get everyone on the same page. The longer all of this drama goes on, the further they will be setback. 8-8 at the very best next year.
UK:
Good- Looks like the football and basketball programs are heading in the right direction. Rich Brooks has upgraded the roster to one that is SEC worthy. Hal Mumme left us with a mess and at some points a few years ago I am not for sure if we could have beat Highlands. Billy G can recruit and we will be back to form, if not next year, in the year to follow.
I have to give some love to a local KY boy that will be at UK next year. Darius Miller, from Maysville, just won KY Mr. Basketball and led his team to the State Title. He is 6'7'', 215, with great vision, handles, and length. I would describe him as the "perfect 3" at the college level. The icing on the cake is that he is an outstanding young man. Take a look at this video....http://www.hoopmixtape.com/video.php?siteId=145
Bad- RIP to, as Ramel Bradley called him, "The Kentucky Don." Mr. Wildcat aka Bill Keightley had been around UK hoops for forever and a day. Losing him is kind of like losing your Grandpa. It will be weird not seeing him around next year. With that being said, I would like to nominate myself for the position. I would take care of all the gear to go to every game. Sign me up!
