Reds give up six in the 9th. But win in the 10th. Great performance by Arroyo. So far Hariston looks like a good pick up. I would like to see some consistancy to get to Cordero, though. But what an ending. Great props to Janish who gets his first ML hit, and it scores the winning run. What a great start to his short stint here in Cincy.
DERBY DAY!!!!!
I will have to say that I am very impressed with what Big Brown accomplished. To be able to come out of the 20th post position and blow away the field was some feat. I have loved Derby Day since I started at U of L. I can't get enough of the pomp and circumstance that is the Kentucky Derby!!!! If you have never gone to Louisville, you are really missing out. I think Big Brown could be your next triple crown winner!!! I would like to see one in my lifetime!!!!
On a sad note, they did have to put down Eight Belles on the track after the race. That filly ran her tail off, but unfortunately broke both her ankles. What a terrible tragedy. It was a terrible scene with two ambulances rushing to the scene.
2nd Round Disaster!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
2nd Round Disaster!!!!!!!
WTF?????? Every book going had this kid listed in the 5th or 6th round. With all of the abundant choices at WR, what were the Bengals thinking. John Clayton looked at the first two picks and have rated the Bengals as the biggest losers on day 1. Maybe three years from now we will think differently of Jerome Simpson, when he catches every ball that would have been overthrown by Carson if he threw it to Chad or TJ, but for now it leaves you scratching your head. I wonder if it is going to make season ticket holders think twice before renewing for next year. I can only hope that day 2 goes so much better than day 1.
Brian Brohm to the Packers!!!!!
Does this remind you when Big Ben was sitting in the green room at the draft, only to fall into a great situation in Pittsburgh. We may be seeing this with Brian Brohm!!!! He is going to get a chance to compete for the starting job of a team that went to the NFC championship last year!! They also have a great young recieving corp (Jennings was far and away one of the most underratted recievers in the NFL) that will be there for years to come. It is also a west coast style that fits Brohm's game perfectly. I wish Brian the best of luck!!!! GO CARDS!!!!
